The Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) provides comprehensive support across the student life cycle-from admission and matriculation to graduation and beyond. SASD works closely with schools, colleges, and autonomous institutes to ensure a seamless and enriching academic journey. Within SASD, the Student Affairs Office (SAO) plays a central role in shaping student life through leadership development, student-led activities, residential life, integration efforts, community engagement, arts, and sports. The successful candidate will support in the planning and execution of two flagship initiatives - the NTU Varsity Arts Programme and the inaugural NTU Arts Festival, while extending NTU’s Cultural presence into the western precinct and enriching arts and cultural life across the Halls of Residence.

Key Responsibilities

NTU Varsity Arts Programme

  • Support year-round planning and delivery - coordinating performances, showcases and development opportunities for student artists.

  • Work with Varsity Arts groups, coaches, and venues to keep programme on schedule and within budget, and establish the routines (calendars, booking, logistics).

Inaugural NTU Arts Festival

  • Assist in programme development, stakeholder engagement and partnership coordination.

  • Manage festival project timelines, logistics, procurement and budget tracking.

  • Coordinate marketing and publicity effors with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support onsite festival operations and ensure smooth event execution.

Arts & Cultural Vibrancy in Halls of Residence

  • Bring arts and culture into residential life by working with residential experience stakeholders to seed performances, workshops, pop-ups and student-led creative activities within the halls.

  • Connect hall-based arts activity to the wider Varsity Arts Programme and Festival so residential life becomes a feeder and stage for campus arts.

Neighbourhood & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support the mission in broadening the reach of NTU Arts Festival beyond campus by establishing partnerships with residents, community groups, and public/private organisations. Through community-based arts activations and outreach initiatives, create meaningful opportunities for public participation and engagement, contributing to stronger community connections and elevating NTU's reputation as a vibrant arts and cultural hub.

Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline; entry-level candidates are welcome to apply. Candidates with experience in arts/cultural programming, event or festival management and/or related field will have an added advantage.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and engage effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders.

  • Good organisational and project management capabilities, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, manage timelines, and ensure smooth execution of programmes and events.

  • A collaborative team player with a service-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently when required.

  • Comfortable managing operational, logistical, and administrative aspects of events and programmes, including procurement, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to support programme delivery, performances, festivals, and student engagement activities as required.
