Research Fellow (Inorganic Materials)

We are looking for a Research Fellow to work closely with NTU MSE and A*STAR researchers. The role will focus onimprovement of resistance to hydrogen embrittlement (HE) for steels and nickel-based alloys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the conduct of research project with research team members to ensure completion of deliverables

• To help PI lead the HE research team

• Improvement of resistance to hydrogen embrittlement

• To configure the theoretical calculation before the experimental work

• Develop the surface treatment methods to slow down the hydrogen intake

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on theoretical analysis and microstructure characterization

• To help train PhD students

• Assist in grant writing

• Maintenance of lab or equipment or supplies that include procurement and liaison with suppliers

• Assist or Produce high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings

Job Requirements:

• PhD qualification degree in Materials Science and Engineering or related field

• Familiarity with computational materials science and macrostructure analysis

• Good written and oral communication skills
