Senior Assistant Director, Legal

The NTU Investment Office which manages the University’s multi-billion-dollar global investment fund, is seeking to add an experienced Fund Counsel to join its team. The successful candidate will work on complex investments across a broad range of asset classes, transaction structures and geographies.

Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the Fund Counsel will work closely with investment professionals and key stakeholders, providing legal support throughout the investment lifecycle and helping to identify and manage legal, regulatory and contractual risks.

Responsibilities:

• Review and advise on fund and investment structures, transaction terms and related legal documentation.

• Negotiate investment terms and transaction documentation with counterparties and external counsel.

• Advise investment teams on key legal, contractual, governance and regulatory considerations.

• Provide commercially focused legal advice that balances investment objectives with appropriate risk management.

Requirements:

• Degree in Law from a reputable institution.

• Minimum 10 years of post-qualification legal experience.

• Strong experience in investment transactions, fund structures, corporate transactions, private markets and/or financial investments.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters in a fast-paced investment environment.

• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
