Headquartered in Singapore, Nanyang Technological University is a premier public research university recognized globally for its excellence in science, engineering, business, and medicine. The institution features state-of-the-art research facilities and interdisciplinary programs dedicated to driving technological innovation, artificial intelligence, and sustainability. Consistently ranked among the world's top academic institutions, it nurtures future leaders and fosters impactful collaborative research across global industries.

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their exemplary care. The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. In August 2024, we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme, that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities.

LKCMedicine is seeking a proactive and meticulous Senior Assistant Manager to join the Graduate Programmes team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of Continuing Education and Training (CET) programmes and will oversee all finance-related operations for the CET portfolio. This pivotal role requires strong organisational skills, financial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Assistant Manager will work closely with faculty, internal stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Legal), and external partners to ensure the successful delivery and financial sustainability of programmes targeted at healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

CET Programme Management & Operations

  • Oversee the end-to-end operational planning and execution of CET programmes, from setup and scheduling to final delivery and feedback collection.

  • Manage the full learner lifecycle, including admissions processing, enrolment, matriculation, learner communications, and post-programme support.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for CET learners, providing high-quality support and managing all enquiries.

  • Collaborate with faculty, adjuncts, and internal departments to ensure smooth programme delivery.

  • Provide administrative support to Course Directors and assist with programme-related tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

  • Manage all programme logistics, including scheduling, venue/platform booking, and the preparation and distribution of course materials.

  • Continuously review and improve administrative processes to enhance programme efficiency, scalability, and the overall learner experience.

  • Ensure all programmes are compliant with university policies and external requirements.

CET Financial Management & Analysis

  • Lead the annual CET budgeting cycle, working with programme leads to develop realistic financial targets.

  • Develop, manage, and monitor individual programme budgets, ensuring alignment with the School's strategic goals and financial targets.

  • Monitor revenue and expenditures closely; conduct regular variance analysis and financial reconciliations for the entire CET portfolio.

  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reports to provide management with real-time visibility into programme performance, profitability, and key financial metrics.

  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, summaries, and insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.

  • Manage procurement, invoicing, and billing processes, serving as the key liaison with the university's central finance office.

  • Oversee the timely and accurate processing of payments for adjunct faculty, supervisors, and external vendors.

Strategic, Contract & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage the financial administration of external funding, including SSG grant claims, reporting, and supporting any related audit requirements.

  • Support the Senior Assistant Director in developing business proposals and detailed financial models for new programme initiatives.

  • Serve as the primary financial and administrative liaison for external partners (e.g., healthcare groups) regarding programme costs, billing, and financial reporting.

  • Contribute to cross-functional projects related to education innovation, system implementation, and operational efficiency.

  • Undertake other duties as required to support the School’s strategic goals.

Requirements:

  • A recognised degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.

  • Minimum 7-8 years of relevant working experience, preferably in programme management, finance, or administration.

  • Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis.

  • Excellent project management, organisational, and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for financial management) and PowerBI (for dashboard creation and management).

  • A proactive and collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

  • Prior experience in the education or healthcare sectors is highly desirable.

  • Experience working in a higher education or training institute environment.

  • Familiarity with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) funding schemes, claims processes, and compliance requirements.
