Senior Executive, Admissions, Projects and Electives [LKCMedicine]

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their exemplary care. The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. In August 2024, we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme, that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities.

LKCMedicine is looking for a Senior Executive who is resourceful, thrives in complexity and works well in a team.

Responsibilities:

Scholarly Projects

• Provide secretariat support to the Scholarly Projects Committee.

• Administer the annual call for projects and coordinate the allocation of projects to students.

• Support the processing and approval of Scholarly Project results.

• Work closely with faculty members and project supervisors to ensure sufficient project offerings and smooth programme delivery.

Policies, Procedures and Systems

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Scholarly Project policies, requirements, and processes.

• Drive the digitalisation and continuous improvement of work processes.

• Develop, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the assigned portfolio.

• Ensure compliance with institutional policies and quality assurance requirements.

Admissions and Overseas Electives

• Provide support for admissions activities, including the planning and administration of Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs) and outreach initiatives.

• Support the administration of overseas elective programmes and related student processes.

• Assist with operational activities across the admissions and overseas electives portfolios.

Administration

• Assist in LKCMedicine events as rostered, including examinations and School events

• Other department level administrative tasks

Requirements:

• A recognised degree in any discipline

• Proficiency in statistics and Microsoft Office applications

• Strong aptitude and experience in IT and data management

• Resilient, meticulous and analytical

• Ability to multi-task and work independently under time pressure

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
