This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the children, young people, families, and staff who rely on our hospices.\nAbout the Role:\nAs Housekeeping Supervisor, you will manage the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping service across the Trust, supervising staff, coordinating rotas, and ensuring work is completed and maintained to the highest standard. You'll be a hands-on leader who supports, coaches, and motivates the team while helping to ensure that every child, young person, and family receives the best possible experience during their stay.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead and supervise the housekeeping team across day, evening, and weekend shifts.\nManage team rotas, annual leave, and sickness cover to ensure effective service delivery seven days a week.\nMonitor cleanliness standards throughout the hospices and carry out weekly and monthly checks and regular quality audits.\nWork closely with Care teams to prepare family accommodation and children's bedrooms for admissions and discharges.\nOversee stock levels of housekeeping, medical supplies, and equipment, coordinating orders as required.\nProvide induction, training, coaching, and ongoing support to housekeeping colleagues.\nConduct performance reviews and support the development of a flexible, multi-skilled team.\nEscalate any concerns relating to housekeeping standards or team performance to the Facilities Manager.\nHelp maintain outstanding infection prevention and cleanliness standards throughout our sites.\nAbout You\n\nYou will be someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional standards and enjoys leading and developing others.
