This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs.\nResponsibilities\nThe RN Supervisor coordinates shift activities and performs a wide range of duties, including assessing patients, administering medications, managing emergencies, and ensuring adherence to established protocols and procedures. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to:\nPerforming initial health screenings and physical assessments of newly detained individuals\nMonitoring and documenting patient health including vital signs, medical histories\nConducting daily clinical rounds, providing direct patient care, triaging, assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and coordinating services\nResponding to medical emergencies, providing first aid, and ensuring timely transport to appropriate healthcare facilities\nEducating patients on preventative care, healthy lifestyle choices, and substance abuse prevention\nUnderstanding and adhering to correctional facility security protocols, while working closely with correctional officers and other healthcare professionals, to ensure the safety and well-being of patients\nMaintaining accurate medical records, documenting treatment plans, and reporting any relevant information\nQualifications\nExperience / Requirements / Qualifications\nHolds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within Arizona\nMust possess an active BLS Certification (American Heart Association required)\nMust pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening\nTwo years of full time RN Leadership experience with knowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques, occupational health and safety standards, infectious disease management, applicable health care laws, regulations, and procedures for direct health care services.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information\nExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills\nAble to work independently and in a team\nFlexible schedule and availability to work overtime when needed\nIntegrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements\nMust pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening\nPhysical Capabilities:\nMust have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.\nWhy Join NaphCare?\nNaphCare is one of the largest providers of healthcare services to correctional facilities throughout the US, and we are growing.
