This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs.\nResponsibilities\nThe Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor combines clinical expertise with educational leadership, requiring strong communication, organizational, and teaching abilities. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to:\nCoordinate, structure, implement and guide the delivery of the nursing service program within the facility\nConduct daily clinical rounds\nTake and document all patient history and vital signs\nAssist with daily triage/sick call, minor medical/surgical procedures and patient assessments\nAssist with examinations and/or treatments\nAssist in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of clinical services\nAssist with orientation and training activities of clinical personnel\nObserve and review documentation, orders and patient care plans\nAssist with disaster plans and emergency preparation\nRespond to and initiate care for medical emergencies within the facility\nCreating and delivering educational materials, including lesson plans, presentations, and hands-on training, to meet specific learning needs\nIdentifying knowledge gaps and skill deficits among nursing staff to tailor training programs effectively\nOrganizing training sessions, managing logistics, and facilitating learning through various methods (classroom, online, on-the-job).\nAssessing the impact of training programs on staff performance and patient outcomes, using evaluation tools and metrics\nWorking with other healthcare professionals, including nurse managers, educators, and clinical leaders, to develop and implement training initiatives\nEnsuring that training programs meet regulatory requirements and standards for nursing practice\nProviding guidance and support to new nurses and preceptors, fostering professional development and a positive learning environment\nMaintaining accurate records of training participation, completion, and outcome\n\nQualifications\nExperience / Requirements / Qualifications\nHolds a current, unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse within the State of Florida.\nPossess an active AHA BLS CPR certification \nSignificant experience as an RN, preferably in a relevant clinical area\nExcellent communication skills with proven experience training medical staff\nExperience with various software and online platforms for training delivery and documentation and ability to effectively communicate information both verbally and in writing, with strong presentation skills\nAbility to plan, organize, and manage multiple training activities simultaneously\nAbility to build rapport with nursing staff, foster a positive learning environment, and provide constructive feedback \nAbility to identify and address training-related challenges and adapt training programs as needed \nAbility to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information\nIntegrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements\nMust pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening\nPhysical Capabilities:\nMust have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.\nWhy Join NaphCare?\nNaphCare is one of the largest providers of healthcare services to correctional facilities throughout the US, and we are growing.
