You will work closely with architects, engineering leaders, product teams, and engineers globally to turn complex product requirements into scalable, reliable production systems.This is a senior individual-contributor position for an engineer who combines architecture-level thinking with deep implementation experience. It is not a people-management role or a position where architecture stops at diagrams.\nLevel and scope\nYou will provide technical direction across interconnected services and complex engineering initiatives.You will independently make high-impact architecture and engineering decisions within your domain, establish reusable technical patterns, identify and resolve systemic risks, and guide engineers through difficult design and implementation decisions. You will remain close enough to the code and production environment to validate architecture through implementation, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and technical reviews.\nWhat you'll do\nLead technical design and evolution of scalable content-intelligence, metadata, classification, and governance services.\nArchitect and build distributed production services using C# and .NET.\nDefine scalable data models, access patterns, and storage strategies using PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and other appropriate technologies.\nMake architectural decisions involving performance, concurrency, resiliency, consistency, scalability, observability, and operational complexity.\nDesign and evolve containerized services running in Linux and Kubernetes environments.\nLead technically complex integration between DryvIQ capabilities and the broader Nasuni platform.\nIdentify systemic performance and reliability bottlenecks and lead engineering solutions rather than treating symptoms.\nEstablish engineering patterns and technical standards that improve maintainability, testability, observability, and developer productivity.\nProvide technical guidance and design feedback to senior and developing engineers without relying on formal reporting authority.\nContribute directly to critical implementation, prototypes, code reviews, debugging, and production problem solving.\nPartner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate product strategy into practical technical architecture and sequencing.\nContribute across product boundaries, including React-based experiences where appropriate.\nApply AI-assisted engineering workflows to architecture exploration, coding, testing, debugging, and analysis while maintaining rigorous validation, security, and engineering judgment.\nExpected outcomes and impact\nQualifications\nMust-have\nSignificant software engineering experience building and evolving complex production systems, typically gained over 10+ years.\nDeep production expertise with C# and .NET.\nDemonstrated architecture ownership across multiple backend services, subsystems, or major technical initiatives.\nStrong distributed-systems fundamentals including concurrency, resiliency, consistency, APIs, asynchronous processing, and failure handling.\nDeep database engineering experience including schema/data modeling, indexing, query optimization, storage tradeoffs, and performance analysis.\nStrong Linux and production Kubernetes/container experience.\nDemonstrated experience solving significant scalability, performance, or reliability problems.\nExperience leading technical direction and influencing experienced engineers without formal management authority.\nPreferred\nProduction PostgreSQL experience.\nClickHouse or comparable analytical/columnar database experience.\nExperience architecting large-scale metadata, indexing, search, or data-processing platforms.\nExperience with React and modern TypeScript/JavaScript.\nCloud-native SaaS and high-throughput distributed-system experience.\nStrong observability, CI/CD, automated testing, and production-operability experience.\nAbout Nasuni\nNasuni is the unstructured data foundation for enterprise teams-and the AI that supports them.
