support the build and release systems powering our enterprise storage platform.\nThis role focuses on operating and improving the infrastructure that runs our engineering build and testing pipelines, including Jenkins agents, VMware infrastructure, and Linux-based development environments.\nYou will help ensure the reliability and performance of the systems used by Nasuni’s global engineering organization to build, test, and release software.\nThis role is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on infrastructure administration, automation scripting, and supporting development teams through reliable build systems and release execution.\nThis role is not a software engineering role and does not focus on application development.\nLevel & Scope\nThis role operates as a hands-on VMware Administrator and DevOps Infrastructure Engineer responsible for maintaining and improving the systems that power Nasuni’s internal build and release platform.\nYou will:\nMaintain Jenkins build infrastructure and agents\nAdminister VMware vCenter and ESX environments supporting build infrastructure\nAutomate infrastructure tasks using tools and scripts in Terraform, Ansible, and Packer\nExecute release builds and package management workflows\nTroubleshoot infrastructure interruptions impacting engineering productivity\nThis role works closely with software engineering teams by providing reliable infrastructure services and automation support for the development lifecycle.\nResponsibilities\nBuild Infrastructure Operations\nMaintain and operate Jenkins infrastructure and build agents\nTroubleshoot and resolve build failures, agent issues, and pipeline interruptions\nEnsure build infrastructure remains secure, patched, and up to date\nVMware Infrastructure Administration\nManage VMware vCenter environments supporting engineering infrastructure\nAdminister ESX hosts and clusters used for build and test systems\nProvision and maintain virtualized environments for engineering teams\nAutomation & Infrastructure Scripting\nDevelop infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, and Packer\nAutomate repetitive operational tasks across build and test environments\nImprove infrastructure provisioning and consistency across environments\nRelease Engineering Support\nExecute release build workflows and support RPM packaging processes\nSupport release qualification builds and artifact management\nCoordinate release readiness and update distribution systems\nEngineering Infrastructure Support\nSupport engineering teams by provisioning build environments and automation\nAssist with debugging build issues and infrastructure interruptions\nMaintain documentation and operational runbooks in Confluence\nContinuous Improvement\nImprove reliability and performance of build and test systems\nOptimize build execution time and infrastructure efficiency\nEvaluate emerging tooling such as GitHub Actions runners or container-based build environments\nAI-Assisted Workflow Efficiency\nLeverage AI-assisted tooling where appropriate to accelerate troubleshooting, documentation, and infrastructure automation while validating outputs for accuracy and operational reliability.\nQualifications\nMust-Have Qualifications\nExperience administering VMware environments including vCenter and ESX hosts\n2-4 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Administration, or Build Engineering\nHands-on experience managing Jenkins infrastructure or build systems using Groovy\nStrong Linux systems administration experience\nExperience creating infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, or Packer\nExperience troubleshooting build failures and infrastructure reliability issues\nExperience supporting engineering teams through internal infrastructure services\nExperience automating repetitive operational tasks\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting build and release infrastructure for software engineering teams\nFamiliarity with RPM packaging or artifact management workflows\nExperience operating large Jenkins environments with multiple build agents\nExposure to GitHub Actions, runners, or modern CI systems\nExperience working in environments with VMware clusters supporting development infrastructure\nIdeal Qualifications\nExperience supporting build infrastructure used by large distributed engineering teams\nExperience improving build reliability and execution performance\nExperience managing virtualized infrastructure at scale (100+ hosts or VMs)\nExperience migrating build systems toward containerized runners or Kubernetes\nExperience Guidelines\nTotal Experience\n2-4 years in VMware, infrastructure engineering, or build engineering roles.\nRelevant Technical Experience\n2+ years administering Linux infrastructure\n2+ years managing Jenkins or build automation systems\n2+ years working with VMware
