The role requires working with a mix of modern and legacy technologies in a rapidly changing environment and the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and systems. Together with the talented Engineering Team, Product Managers and Designers, you will work on new and exciting experiences for our customers.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES\nParticipate in design and technical implementation decisions and help guide key stakeholders on the team, such as product managers, UI/UX designers, to ensure that design and technical decisions meet a high standard of excellence.\nWork closely with Product Managers to gather requirements, walk through the design with stakeholders, and support software all the way from initial ideation to release, operation, and maintenance.\nParticipate in designing, building, and maintaining highly available systems to support our business applications, users, providers, and patients.\nPerform code reviews and mentor the development team with best practices.\nContinue improving process and procedure and evangelizing best practices.\nSupport QA activities in conjunction with our QA engineering teams.\nBe a contributing team member to the end-to-end execution of compliance initiatives.\nThis role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and have access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job. \nMust complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.\nMust maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBS degree in computer science, comparable program, or equivalent.\n6+ years of overall software development experience, preferably secure, scalable web applications with NodeJS, TypeScript, React, and other web technologies.\nExperience with front-end development.\nExperience with software development lifecycle process from build, software configuration, change control, release and deployment activities.\nExtensive knowledge and experience with Test-Driven Development and/or Domain-Driven Development Experience with service-oriented and microservice architecture.\nExperience building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and expanding software within the AWS ecosystem: EC2, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, S3, etc.\nExperience with GraphQL and REST API design and event-driven architecture using distributed event stores (such as Kafka).\nExperience with micro-service enterprise architecture, cross-platform integration, and building scalable applications in heterogeneous environments.\nStrong relational database skills including database design and optimization.\nDemonstrated teamwork skills with a solid analytical background.\nExcellent organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nLinux Fundamentals\nObject Oriented Programming\nRelational Database and SQL Programming, prefer MySQL or PostgreSQL\nJavaScript Programming\nJava Programming is nice to have\nSQL and NoSQL database experience including MySQL, ElasticSearch, and DynamoDB\nAWS Services, such as EC2, Lambdas, Step Functions, SQS, S3, and SNS\nBuild infrastructure as code with Terraform and Cloud Formation\nDocker or container-oriented technologies\nGraphQL and REST APIS\nEvent-Driven Microservice Architecture\nExperience with front-end technologies such as NextJS, React, Sass, Material, HTML, CSS, Javascript, NodeJS.\nCI / CD (Gitlab)\nQuality Assurance Mindset\nThe pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
