You own the technical platform layer configuration, integrations, security architecture, governance, and release discipline, while HR and Payroll retain ownership of sensitive data and business policy logic.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlatform Ownership & Delivery: \nOwn technical execution across Workday HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Prism Analytics, and Illuminate. \nTranslate business requirements into phased technical delivery plans. \nManage sandbox strategy, tenant lifecycle, and biannual release readiness.\nHands-On Configuration & Development: \nConfigure HCM and Recruiting modules.Build advanced reports (matrix, composite, BIRT), calculated fields, validations, and business process frameworks. \nLeverage Workday Extend to design and build lightweight custom applications that enhance core workflows.\nMaintain scalable security models and governance standards.\nIntegrations & Architecture: \nBuild and maintain integrations (EIB, Studio, REST/SOAP APIs, RaaS).\nIntegrate with applications like ERP, identity providers, benefits carriers, and third-party systems.\nEnsure secure, reusable integration frameworks with monitoring and error-handling discipline.\nAnalytics, AI & Automation: \nImplement and manage Workday Prism Analytics datasets and dashboards. \nEnable Workday Illuminate capabilities and intelligent workflows. \nDrive automation while maintaining audit and compliance standards.\nSecurity & Compliance: \nOwn Workday security architecture and least-privilege access models.\nImplement enhanced logging and monitoring for sensitive data access, extracts, and downloads.\nEnsure encryption in transit and at rest across integrations and reporting. \nEnforce non-production data masking and scrubbing practices. \nSupport SOX, GDPR, and HIPAA compliance requirements. \nSeparation of Duties\nThis role owns platform configuration, integrations, and technical governance.\nIt does not include direct access to sensitive employee data or ownership of HR policy logic.\nRequired Qualifications\n8+ years of hands-on Workday technical experience.\nWorkday Pro certifications (HCM, Integrations, Security, Prism).\nStrong experience building Workday integrations (EIB, Studio, APIs).\nDeep expertise in security configuration, business process framework design, and reporting.\nExperience with Prism Analytics.\nExposure to Workday Extend.\nHigh documentation skills with solid understanding of ITGC controls & Change management policies and operational rigor.\nPlatform ownership mindset with strong technical depth.\nExperience operating in regulated environments.\nProven ability to deliver complex platform initiatives end-to-end.\nStrong stakeholder communication and governance mindset.\n Preferred Qualifications\nExposure to Workday Illuminate / AI features.\nExperience with Workday ecosystem add-ons (e.g., Paradox, Sana, and other governance/reporting tools).\nExperience in biotech, healthcare, or other large-scale companies.\nCompensation & Total Rewards \nThis range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base pay we reasonably expect to offer at the time of hire.
