The successful candidate will ensure efficient trailer transfers while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and transportation requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nSafely commercial vehicles operate to shuttle trailers and equipment between designated locations.\nPerform drop-and-hook operations and trailer exchanges as required.\nConduct pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route inspections of equipment and report any defects or maintenance concerns.\nEnsure trailers are properly secured and positioned at docks and designated yard locations.\nMaintain accurate logs, inspection reports, and transportation documentation.\nCommunicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, plant staff, and management regarding equipment status and delivery schedules.\nAdhere to all federal, provincial/state, and local transportation regulations.\nAdhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and company safety policies.\nMaintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.\nAssist with yard management activities as required.\nFollow all company safety policies and procedures.\nQualifications\nValid Class A CDL (or equivalent commercial driver's license).\nClean driving abstract and satisfactory safety record.\nPrevious commercial driving experience preferred but not required.\nStrong understanding of transportation and safety regulations.\nAbility to work independently and manage time effectively.\nExcellent communication and organizational skills.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial vehicle.\nAbility to climb in and out of truck cabs and trailers safely.\nAbility to perform vehicle inspections and secure equipment as required.\nMust meet all physical and medical requirements necessary to maintain a commercial driver's license.\nWorking Conditions\nWork may include day, afternoon, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.\nExposure to varying weather conditions and outdoor work environments.\nFrequent movement between warehouses, plants, yards, and customer facilities.\nFast-paced transportation and logistics environment.\nCompensation and Benefits\nCompetitive compensation package.\nHealth and wellness benefits (where applicable).\nPaid vacation and statutory holidays.\nCompany-provided training.\nOpportunities for career growth and advancement.\nAdditional Information\nNo experience necessary;
