Enter fuel amounts into computer on tractor.\nInform Supervisor of backhauls - refer to backhaul list.\nSet up shuttles.\nInform supervisor of breakdowns in equipment. Contain spills and inform supervisor. Report equipment defects. Check that all wheel chock blocks are being used.\nPerform temperature checks on trailers for freezer and cooler. Make sure temps are set correctly and maintained.\nBe sure all pallet trailers are in good condition and safe to be moved. Tag out-of-service trailers and/or move to appropriate storage location.\nRespond to requests in a timely manner for trailer moves in and out of doors.\nMaintain accurate route sheet calling out new trailers, out-of-service trailers and trailers returning to service.\nProvide coverage for shuttle and route services as needed (Class A required).\nAll other related yard tasks (cranking landing gear, etc)\nQualifications\nQualifications you bring:\nCDL Class A License preferred, minimum six (6) months driving experience\nCurrent medical card required\nMust have a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) in accordance with DCP guidelines for hiring\nMust be able to operate a manual and automatic transmission tractor\nOn Board Computer/Electronic Log System Experience preferred\nAbility to work well with little supervision\nAbility to interact well with all employees\nStrong oral and written communications skills\nExcellent Interpersonal Skills\nFlexible to varying work schedule\nMust satisfy all applicable FMCSA driver qualification requirements, including the to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete required ability reports and records.\nEqual Opportunity Employer: NDCP is an equal opportunity employer.
