NDBS offers an excellent benefits and compensation program and strong career development opportunities.\nPosition Description:\nThe Mechanical Design Engineer at NDBS is involved in all aspects of the HVAC design / build process. From project conception through the details of design and field coordination, you will work with our staff of experts sharing and gaining practical knowledge and experience unmatched in this industry. This position is responsible for delivering project design assignments within time and budget parameters while satisfying client contracts, either through a team of engineers or individually.\n\nPosition Information\nPosition Type: Full Time\nTravel Required: 20-30%\nDepartment: Engineering\nLocation: St. Louis, MO 63146 OR Remote, United States\nSkills & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):\nAdhering to NDBS Core ValuesSafety\nWe Answer Our Phones\nAlways Innovating\nCollaborative Partnerships\nReputation\nEntrepreneurship\n\nDesign and Technical:Perform load calculations for projects.\nDesign and plan layouts of equipment, duct and piping systems.\nDrive the development of HVAC design from the initial concept through construction drawings utilizing Revit.\nApplication engineering including but not limited to Sequence of Operations, load calculations, psychometrics, and refrigeration.\nEngages in several levels of field engineering, assisting with project execution, trade coordination, and document management.\nUnderstand code requirements\n\nProject Execution:Perform internal turnover meetings to identify project scope, risks, resource requirements, communications, schedule, and budgets\nCollaborate with preconstruction department to ensure project bid scope is developed into design documents.\nCollaborate with operations department to ensure a shared understanding of project scope and overall project execution\nDrive quality control through on site project visits and punch list creation.\n\n Qualifications and Education Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in related Engineering field, Mechanical preferred\nRelated experience in the HVAC/R industry\nSelf-motivated with excellent time and task management skills\nAbility to work within an environment with deadlines while having to multi-task with changing priorities\nAbility to interact effectively with others in a team environment\nExcellent leadership, organization, and communication skills\nExperience in Healthcare Design a plus\nNDBS is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.\nWe’re committed to attracting talented individuals who seek a company with a strong foundation of success and an outstanding culture.
