We currently have two Summer Intern openings available. The starting pay rate for this position is $28.79 per hour. As an intern, you will gain exposure to a wide range of technical and operational opportunities. You will also acquire critical insight into our company and our industry, as well as have the chance to develop valuable networking connections, which will help prepare and develop your skills for future career opportunities.\nUnder direct supervision, perform drafting and elementary detailing involving no original design of plans and drawings for construction projects of all types, and of diagrams, and perform such duties as:\nPrepare finished drawings including schematics, plans, elevations, and wiring diagrams designed by others\nRevise existing drawings including schematics, plans, elevations, and wiring diagrams in accordance with as-built information\nAssist drafters and designers of a higher classification as needed\nAssist in ordering and distributing prepared prints\nAssist in field visits as needed\nQualifications:\nEnrolled in an applicable Electrical Engineering Technology program at an accredited school\n3.0 cumulative GPA at time of application, undergraduate students\n3.2 cumulative GPA at time of application, graduate students\n18 credits or more toward completion of program enrolled in\n18 years or older\nAuthorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship\nRegistered as a full-time student\nGood written and verbal communication skills\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)\nFamiliarity with computer aided drafting (CAD), specifically MicroStation is a benefit.\nValid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy\nPay Rate: $28.79/hr\nNational Grid will not be providing visa sponsorship for this position now or in the future.
