If you yearn to be innovative, contribute new ideas, and play a critical part in our Technology & Innovation organization, we want to hear from you!\nWhat you'll do\nAs Senior GIS Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications within our GIS platform using GE Smallworld Magik and Python. Key responsibilities include the following:\nParticipate in architecture discussions and contribute to the design and implementation of robust and scalable solutions.\nApply knowledge of GE Smallworld Magik, Python, and related technologies and platforms.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of GIS projects primarily in Magik but then reimagined in Python.\nDevelop reusable code libraries and modules to enhance application functionality and maintainability.\nEnsure adherence to best practices, including SOLID principles and design patterns, in software development.\nAbout you\nA 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience\nStrong experience and technical contribution in a structured team environment, with a focus on GIS applications.\nStrong knowledge of GE Smallworld Magik and Python.\nStrong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.\nProven experience in developing scalable and maintainable applications.\nFamiliarity with SQL databases, including data modeling, SQL query design, and optimization.\nExperience with automated testing platforms and unit tests.\nFamiliarity with distributed systems and fundamental design principles for building scalable applications.\nMore Information\nAre you the right fit for this exciting role?
