So, join us as an Treasury Accountant, and find your superpower.\nThe Treasury Finance team play a vital role in providing comprehensive reporting for Group Treasury and are at the forefront of financial operations, reporting, and business partnering within a £47bn financing portfolio, numerous hedging derivatives and £1.8bn in financing costs!\nWe are seeking a passionate Treasury Accountant to enhance our Treasury Financial Reporting team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering complete and accurate financial and management reporting for Group Treasury activities across the UK and US. You will provide business partnering support to various Treasury functions, including debt capital markets, money markets, corporate finance, and operational banking teams, to help enhance Treasury financial information, improving decision-making and control.\nThis role offers significant opportunities to enhance your technical accounting skills while gaining valuable insights into Treasury execution and operations. You will be part of a forward-thinking finance strategy aimed at establishing a world-class function.\nThis role will be based in our Strand office, where we encourage you to be present two days a week. However, we welcome you to spend more time in the office if that suits you better. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements to ensure this role aligns with your needs.\nWhat You'll Do\nDeliver accurate and timely accounting and financial reporting for Treasury activities, ensuring transactions are appropriately captured within Quantum and Bloomberg HEFF and accurately reflected in SAP and BPC.\nPerform monthly analysis and balance sheet substantiation, ensuring financial results are accurate, well understood and compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.\nDeliver quality Treasury forecasts as part of the quarterly reforecasting, partnering with front office teams to understand key movements and analyse the impact of changes in volumes, interest rates and other market drivers.\nAnalyse and coordinate consolidated IFRS reporting for the Group Annual Report and Accounts, including treasury and financial risk disclosures, and report UK GAAP and US GAAP for subsidiaries.\nSupport the analysis and verification of treasury information required for UK regulatory returns (OFGEM).\nContribute to enhancements of Treasury Management Systems and reporting processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen controls and meet evolving stakeholder requirements.\nBuild strong relationships across Treasury and Finance, becoming a trusted source of financial insight and providing practical solutions to accounting, reporting and business challenges.\nSupport wider Treasury Finance initiatives and ad-hoc projects, providing analysis and technical accounting input where required.\nWhat You'll Have\nQualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).\nKnowledgeable in technical accounting under IFRS and UK GAAP, particularly in financial instruments (IFRS 9 and IFRS 7).\nAwareness of treasury financial instruments and hedge accounting\nStrong analytical thinker with excellent financial reporting skills.\nEnthusiastic and self-motivated and commitment to professional delivery\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\nExperience of relevant systems Quantum, Bloomberg HEFF (TMS), S4H or BPC is preferred but not essential.\nDon’t meet every single requirement? You might just be the right person for our growing business in this role or another one.\nWhat You'll Get\nUp to £74,000 dependent on experience.\nAs well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance with an on target of 15% (maximum 30%) and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
