We support numerous departments at NN Head Office in The Hague (the Netherlands) and NN subsidiaries all over Europe.

Now we are hiring to extend our Accounting Operationteam

What we are looking for:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience: Approximately1-3yearsaccounting experience. Candidates with less experience and a strong accounting foundation are also welcome to apply.

• Closing expertise: Proven, hands-on experience in monthly, quarterlyand year-end closing processes.

• Understanding ofthe key steps of the closing process is an advantage.

• Accounting knowledge: Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entriesand related accounting processes.

• Systems: Confidence in Excel and experience with SAP and/or Oracle. Experience with reporting, automationor data visualization tools is an advantage.

• Stakeholder management: Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in an international environment.

• Ownership: Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently, identifyrisks and issues, contribute to solution.

• Continuous improvement: Interest in process improvement, standardization, automation and new ways of working.

• Language: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is requiredfor daily international communication. Hungarian is preferred.

• Soft skills: Strong communicationand collaboration skills,willingness to learn and share knowledge with others.

Your main responsibilities will include

As a Junior/MediorAccountant -Accounting Operation, you will perform a range of accounting activities and actively contribute to monthly, quarterlyand year-end closing processes. You will work closely with colleagues in Budapest and the Netherlands and gradually build your expertiseand ownership within the Accounting Operation function.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Executing andsupportingmonthly, quarterlyand year-end closing activities, ensuring agreed timelines and quality requirements are met.

• Monitoring closing progress, identifyingpotential risks or delaysand proactively escalating issues when necessary.

• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and related accounting processes with a high levelof accuracy and ownership.

• Handling day-to-day and more complex accounting activities using Excel and advanced ERP systems.

• Actively contributing to knowledge sharing and the professional development of the team.

• Supporting the investigation and resolution of accounting questions.

• Contributing to the documentation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other process documentation.

• Identifyingandcontributing tocontinuous improvement, standardization, automationand digitalization opportunities within accounting processes.

• Supporting process transitions, implementations, system migrationsand stabilization activities.

• Supporting cross-functional initiatives and collaborating with other Accounting, Financeand GBS teams.

• Acting as a reliable professional partner to the team and stakeholders.
