The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, refresh, break/fix, and cabling of network systems, ensuring the highest standards of network performance and reliability. This associate will also be responsible for monitoring network health, triaging network incidents, and performing other network maintenance related tasks.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPoint of Contact for Network at Scottsdale:Provide on-site support for all network-related activities, including installations, refreshes, break/fix, and cabling.\nAct as the steward of Network MDF and IDF, ensuring closets are up to cabling standards, well-documented, and maintained in a clean state.\n\nNetwork Carrier Activity:Serve as point of contact for all network carrier activities.\nPartner with telecommunications companies and other third-party technology service providers regarding Scottsdale network needs.\n\n Collaboration with CRE/NRI and Protective Services:Act as the direct contact for CRE (Corporate Real Estate), NRI (Nationwide Realty Investments) and Protective Services for all technology-related needs at Scottsdale.\n\nNetwork Monitoring, Triage, and MaintenanceTriage, troubleshooting, and resolution of network incidents and events.\nPerform other network related activities to support Nationwide’s network infrastructure.\n\nAfter-Hours Support:Perform provisioning and break/fix activities outside of regular business hours, including weekends.\n\nPhysical Requirements:Capable of lifting network equipment weighing between 50-100 lbs for installations.\n\nProject Meetings:Attend project meetings related to network activities to provide insights and updates.\n\nTravel:Occasionally travel to other sites for network-related activities as required.\n\nQualifications:\n3 to 5 years of IT Operations and/or Network Support experience.\nProven experience in network engineering and support.\nDemonstrable network administration experience.\nStrong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, as well as prioritizing tasks with high business impact.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nPhysical capability to lift and install network equipment.\nStrong thought leadership and ability to influence peers and superiors.\nAbility to adapt to changing technology, organization structure, and processes within the department and the company.\nAbility to create and maintain quality work instructions and job aids.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAdvanced knowledge in Cisco routing/switching, certifications a plus.\nExperience working with and influencing/escalating with telecommunications carriers and third-party technology service providers.\nFamiliarity with corporate real estate technology needs.\nExperience in IT Service Management, especially incident, change, and request management.\nExperience in managing large scale network incidents.\nWorking Conditions:\nThis role requires flexibility to work after business hours and on weekends as needed.\nThis role is hybrid from the Scottsdale, AZ office.\nThis role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. You’ll also be accountable for the operational aspects and management of these products according to business requirements and defined service level agreements (SLAs).\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities:\nCreates and implements standard builds and templates for all technology platforms.\n\nDrives requirements to meet current and future needs, tracks and reports capacity postures.\n\nApplies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.\n\nAnalyzes reports and delivery recommendations to remediate capacity issues.\n\nImplements capacity enhancements.\n\nDesigns standard and custom technology solutions for business partner projects, including pre-production testing, performance tuning, handoffs, and certification.\n\nDelivers technology and product optimization, migrations and management, including technology and product design, planning, power, and environmental management.\n\nCollaborates with others to develop meaningful metrics that drive fact-based decisions on a given product/environment/solution.\n\nConducts proactive system maintenance, disaster recovery planning, data backup and recovery as well as inventory, configuration and utility product management.\n\nExecutes production engineering processes, incident management, root cause analysis, problem management, change management, release management, and knowledge management.\n\nProvides production support for all technology platforms.\n\nProvides oversight for technical labs and development environments.\n\nMay perform other responsibilities as assigned.\nReporting Relationships: Reports to a Technology Engineering Manager or Technology Product Manager.\nTypical Skills and Experiences:\nEducation: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or a related field are preferred.\nLicense/Certification/Designation: Technology certifications or designations are not required, but encouraged (i.e.: AWS, Azure, scripting and development languages, delivery methods, security).\nExperience: Four or more years of experience with moderately complex integrated solutions and an ability to develop and modify existing solutions for specialized needs. Experience with automation of solution configuration and deployment and with system management processes and tools. Experience with concepts and solutions: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and package solutions.\nKnowledge, Abilities and Skills: Strong communication skills, knowledge of planning, management and execution of Accelerated Solutions Delivery framework, Information Security acumen. Ability to influence, negotiate, and set priorities are needed.
