In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our multi-SGBD environment, with a primary focus on SQL Server versions post-2014 and Sybase ASE. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of our production databases, as well as contributing to strategic migration and cloud initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSQL Server Administration: Manage and administer SQL Server platforms (versions > 2014).\nPlatform Refresh & Migration: Oversee SQL Server platform refreshes, including infrastructure and version upgrades.\nScripting & Development: Develop and maintain T-SQL and PowerShell scripts for automation, administration, and utility purposes.\nPerformance Tuning & Optimization: Conduct performance analysis, tune SGBDs, support development teams in rewriting suboptimal code, contribute to database modeling, and proactively propose performance improvements.\nHigh Availability: Implement and manage high availability solutions, including AlwaysON and Transactional Replication.\nDatabase Auditing & Maintenance: Perform regular audits of SQL Server databases and maintain the operational readiness of SGBDs within the NIMOS perimeter.\nProduction Monitoring: Supervise production SGBDs within the NIMOS perimeter (SQL Server and Sybase).\nIncident & User Support: Respond to and resolve incidents and user support requests related to databases.\nCrisis Management: Participate in crisis management \"cellules\" (war rooms).\nChange Management: Control and deliver database structure modifications.\nCross-Functional Knowledge: Leverage and apply knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and SGBD architecture.\nMS BI Tools Administration: Administer and tune third-party Microsoft tools such as SSRS, PowerBI Server, SSIS, and SSAS.\nRelease Management: Handle and process requests for Production deployments.\nIntervention Management: Respond to intervention requests across various SGBD technologies.\nInstallation & Optimization: Install, administer, and optimize SGBD servers, including performance analysis.\nQuery Optimization Assistance: Assist development teams in reviewing and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures.\nContinuity & Availability: Participate in continuity and availability exercises and maintain associated procedures.\nDocumentation: Create and maintain operational documentation for databases.\nTechnology Watch & Projects: Participate in technology watch initiatives, exploring new features in SQL Server 2022-2025 and interfacing with technologies like Polybase and Hadoop.\nCloud Database Projects: Contribute to database projects on cloud platforms such as Azure (SQL Server, Analysis Services, PowerBI), AWS, and GCP.\nSecurity Compliance: Apply NATIXIS's general security policy.\nOn-Call & Shift Work:\nThis role requires on-call availability and may involve staggered working hours.\n Desirable Skills:\nExperience with .NET development (C#, Angular, Rust) is a plus, particularly for evolving monitoring tools and web platforms.\nEnvironment:\nPerimeter: NIMOS\nSGBDs: Multi-SGBD environment, predominantly SQL Server with Sybase present.\nLanguages:\nFrench (B2/C1)\nEnglish (B2/C1)\n Our workplace reflects the vibrant spirit of our locations, with initiatives such as a Green Transportation Budget, electric bikes and a flexible Hybrid Work Policy.
