Our enzyme-based approach (published in Nature Biotechnology) promises to dramatically accelerate innovation in biological research and biotechnology, including therapeutics, diagnostics, biomanufacturing, and synthetic biology.\nThe Supply Chain Coordinator will report to the Director of Supply Chain and support day-to-day purchasing, receiving, inventory, and shipping operations. This is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring materials are ordered, tracked, received, and accurately reflected in the company’s systems.\nThe ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and comfortable coordinating across suppliers and internal teams in a fast-paced, rapidly changing startup environment. The role will primarily support purchasing and supplier follow-up while also providing receiving support and broader supply chain operational support.\nResponsibilities\nPurchasing & Supplier Coordination\nProcess purchase requests and place purchase orders with suppliers.\nSend purchase orders, obtain supplier acknowledgements, and confirm expected delivery dates.\nTrack open orders and shipments and proactively follow up on late or at-risk deliveries.\nCommunicate delivery status, shortages, delays, and supplier issues to internal stakeholders.\nResolve routine purchase order, pricing, shipment, and delivery discrepancies with suppliers.\nMaintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and order status in NetSuite.\nSupport sourcing activities, supplier communication, and purchasing projects as needed.\nReceiving Support\nReceive incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase orders and packing documentation.\nProcess receiving transactions accurately and timely in NetSuite.\nIdentify and resolve quantity, material, documentation, or receiving discrepancies.\nCoordinate material handoff and internal distribution as needed.\nSupply Chain Support\nCross-train on domestic and international shipping processes and provide backup support for shipping activities as needed.\nSupport inventory organization, cycle counts, reconciliation, and inventory accuracy initiatives as needed.\nWork closely with Manufacturing, R&D, and other internal teams to support material availability and day-to-day supply chain operations.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.\n5+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, materials management, receiving, or a related operations role.\nDemonstrated experience independently managing purchase orders, supplier follow-up, delivery issues, and day-to-day supply chain transactions.\nExperience working directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery, quantity, pricing, or documentation issues.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and follow through on time-sensitive issues.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.\nComfortable working both at a desk and in a receiving or warehouse environment.\nExperience using ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with NetSuite.\nExperience in biotech, life sciences, manufacturing, or another physical-goods environment.\nExperience supporting receiving and inventory control activities.\nExperience with domestic and international shipping processes.\nExperience working in a startup or rapidly growing organization.\nWhat We Offer: \nCompetitive hourly pay and equity, with a consistent Monday-Friday day-shift schedule. \nGenerous benefits package including health, dental, and vision\nOngoing professional development and training opportunities\nA collaborative and innovative work environment\nThe opportunity to be part of a company at the forefront of synthetic biology and innovation\nSan Francisco Bay Area Pay Range - $34-$38 per hour, depending upon experience\nAnsa Biotechnologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer\n All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation,\ngender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other\ncharacteristic protected by applicable law.\nAt Ansa, we are building a high-performing team focused on changing how scientists access\nDNA.
