The Manufacturing Technician will be a driver of continuous improvement in all department and organizational results, including but not limited to; Safety, Quality, Appearance, Reliability and Cost. Operators advancing to Manufacturing Tech III will to continue to conduct the responsibilities learned during Tech I and II while attaining and building on leadership skills. Individuals attaining Tech III will responsible for both team and personal performance.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIRED: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nOperate and monitor assigned machine(s) to detect product defects and/or machine malfunctions.\nTroubleshoot issues related to product quality, formulation and machine performance.\nPerform job duties within the established quality control guidelines of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).\nComplete all job related documentation accurately and timely.\nMaintain high sanitary standards of cleanliness of work space, equipment, and materials at all times.\nPerform cleaning duties of workspace to maintain sanitary conditions before, during, and after processing a new job.\nProduce products that are defect-free, properly identified, and within the established standards of the master batch record.\nUtilize hand tools, power tools, pallet jacks, and other tools as required to perform essential job duties.\nNotify Supervisor or Manager if any discrepancies arise, such as but not limited to: safety, quality, operations, or health concerns.\nKnowledgeable in general mathematics and basic algebra.\nFollow the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines at all times.\nFlexibility in assigned work schedule to meet business needs.\nMANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN\nReview and begin building knowledge of required SOP and cGMP guidelines for position.\nOperate assigned machine(s).\nMaintain a clean and safe workspace.\nBuild partnerships through team work and communication.\nCompletion of the training guide requirements.\nOperation, assembly, and disassembly of assigned machine(s).\nAccurate documentation is required.\nAbility to independently troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions, product defects, and formulation complications.\nKnowledgeable in safety policy and lockout/tagout procedures.\nPerform quality verification (e.g., weights, visual inspections, etc.)\nComplete all established Technician I requirements within a 24 month period.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAssociates must have the capability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, in addition to having effective written and verbal communications in English to meet training, safety and quality requirements.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
