development lifecycle.\nYou’ll also be:\nProducing complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality which adds value to the business\nContributing to the architecture, design, build and manage services as required by the Enterprise Service Platform team using IBM App Connect, IBM MQ and API platforms\nImplementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab Runners and Jenkins\nDesigning and building cloud-native, containerized solutions on OpenShift/Kubernetes\nWorking in permanent teams who are responsible for the full life cycle, from initial development, through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning\nCollaborating to optimise our software engineering capability\nWorking across the life cycle, from requirements analysis and design, through coding to testing, deployment and operations\nThe skills you'll need\nTo take on this role, you’ll need a background in software engineering, software design, and architecture, and an understanding of how your area of expertise supports our customers.\nYou’ll also need:\n3+ years of hands-on software engineering and integration experience in SOA / IBM middleware applications involving Websphere Message Broker and IBM WebSphere MQ\nStrong programming skills in Java and Python, including multithreading and concurrent programming\nHands-on experience with IBM App Connect, IBM MQ and API technologies like SOAP/XML, REST/JSON, YAML, XSL, ESQL, WSDL, XSD\nExperience with CP4I and ArgoCD (or similar GitOps tools)\nProven ability to implement integration patterns (orchestration, aggregation, pub/sub, fire-and-forget, etc.)\nExperience with automation, static code analysis, code coverage, and automated testing & deployment\nExperience with DxAPM, OpenTelemetry
