Middle Microsoft Engineer – L2 Support

Nauchsoft is an international IT consulting and software development company. We have been in the IT business for 37 years and continue growing.

We are looking for a Middle Microsoft Engineer to join an established L2 support team providing IT services for international customers across different domains, including Technology, Retail, and IT.

The role focuses on second-line support and administration of Microsoft-based corporate and cloud services. You will work with a broad technology stack, investigate incidents and service requests, implement configuration changes, and communicate with both internal teams and customer representatives.

The position provides an opportunity to work with a wide range of Microsoft technologies and cloud services while gaining hands-on experience in an international environment and using English on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle L2 incidents and service requests related to Microsoft services and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Configure and support Windows-based corporate services.
• Support and administer Active Directory, Exchange, GPO, DFS, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
• Implement configuration changes according to technical and business requirements.
• Investigate new product features, configuration options, and deployment approaches.
• Work within defined SLA requirements and support procedures.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge-base articles in Confluence.
• Record completed activities, investigation results, and task statuses in Jira.
• Communicate with L1 support teams, internal engineering teams, company employees, and customer users.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1+ year of experience as a System Administrator, Support Engineer, or in a similar infrastructure role.
• Practical experience working with Windows environments and Windows services.
• Experience with enterprise and cloud services such as:
  • Active Directory
  • Exchange
  • Group Policy
  • DFS
  • Microsoft 365 / Office 365
  • Microsoft Azure
• General understanding of networking concepts and related services such as:
  • DNS
  • Web services
  • Proxy
• Understanding of troubleshooting and incident investigation principles.
• Ability to work according to established processes, procedures, and SLA requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving.
• Ability and willingness to maintain clear technical documentation.
• English level B1+ for documentation, written communication, and meetings with customers.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS or GCP.
• Experience with Linux.
• Experience with SCCM.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Understanding of ITIL practices.
• Previous experience in an L2 support or managed services environment.

The role includes communication with L1 support teams, internal technical teams, company employees, and customer users depending on the type of request or incident.

Working Environment

• Remote position, with possible occasional office visits.
• 12-hour shifts:
  • Day shift: 09:00-21:00
  • Night shift: 21:00-09:00
• Rotation: 2 working days / 3 days off.
• The support function operates in a 24/7 environment.
• The project follows ITIL practices and established SLA requirements.
