This includes both structural and cosmetic fiberglass components and all subsequent testing.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nDefine and design component specifications for composite structures from design through manufacturing completion.\nGenerate Engineering models, drawings, and Bills of Material for new designs.\nApprove mechanical models and drawings for release.\nGenerate Engineering change notices as required.\nEvaluate and advise on the impact of new product, programs, and strategies.\nEnsure and acquire component and system compliance with industry standards.\nReview and approve owner’s manuals for accurate and complete mechanical descriptions and information.\nEvaluate and test new composite structures for ISO and CE compliance based upon industry equations for marine structural loading\nAssist with technical aspects of all Product recall campaigns.\nCoordinate with vendors on new products and materials.\nAssist production with integration of new model laminate structures and material updated to existing models.\nYearly testing of all new chemical and structural components, to include UV, patch ability, and flexural.\nGenerate all new laminate and core pattern files for the Zund fiberglass cutter and AXYZ router table.\nCorporate representative in product liability litigation.\nRequirements\nQualifications:\n¨ Experience, Competencies and Education\nBS in Mechanical Engineering or related Technical field\n3D CAD Modeling experience, preferably SolidWorks and Rhino\nExperience in composites and composite structure design\nAn energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.\nA strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, decisive, good judgment, and strong operational focus.\nA well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player\nAn intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.\nA good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor to both engineering and production employee’s.\n¨ Language Skills\nAbility to read, analyze and interpret the most complex technical documents.\nAbility to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.\nAbility to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations \n¨ Additional Preferred Experience/Skills\nMarine Industry - Engineering/Manufacturing\nWatersports Experience\nBoating Experience \nTrailering Boats\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement\nNautique Boat Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
