Additionally, the role demands qualities such as patience, perseverance, and thoroughness to ensure comprehensive and effective training outcomes.Job Description\nWhat NAV CANADA offers you:\nChallenging, team-oriented work environment\nCompetitive compensation and benefits\nDefined benefit pension plan\nOpportunities for growth and development\nFlexible work arrangements\nDiverse and inclusive workforce\nKey Accountabilities:\nDelivers courses in the theoretical and practical aspects of operating, maintaining, repairing and programming advanced electronic systems such as those utilized in support of the Air Navigational Service.\nDevelops courses; prepares lesson plans and lecture notes; prepares theory and practical exercises; prepares handouts and / or training aids; designs tests and associated marking guides.\nLeads / participates in special projects, working groups and focus groups providing specialized technical knowledge and experience.\nParticipates in course design activities such as task analysis and training objectives, creation of the course training plan, and determining work experience requirements.\nJob Requirements\nEducation:\nSecondary school diploma or equivalent.\nCompletion of an acceptable training program in electronics technology or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the position.\nExperience:\nThree (3) to five (5) years of experience in the maintenance and/or installation of the electronic equipment and systems.\nExperience with coaching and teaching technical information to adults.\nKnowledge (30%):\nKnowledge of technical course design, instructional techniques, student academic counselling, measurement and testing.\nKnowledge of electronic theory, computer systems, and network management.\nIn depth knowledge of electronic theory.\nIn depth knowledge of electronic systems such as CNS / ATM equipment, networking technology and computer-controlled systems.\nKnowledge of project management, business and operational planning.\nAbilities (30%):\nSkills in maintaining, installing, operating, troubleshooting, configuring, repairing, testing, and calibrating electronic systems.\nSkills in teaching complex theory, systems and related practices and standards in preparing instructional material.\nSkills in developing and evaluating the effectiveness of courses on complex systems.\nPersonal Suitability (40%):\nSkills in communicating orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.\nAbility to work effectively with personnel of widely varying levels of knowledge and experience including individuals from other ANSPs.\nInitiative and co-operation in meeting deadlines/goals.\nPatience, perseverance, and thoroughness.\nWorking conditions:\nOccasional travel required.\nFlexible work arrangements:\nThis position is a hybrid position with a minimum of three (3) days per week on site.\nNAV CANADA is committed to building a skilled, diverse workforce reflective of Canadian society.
