Senior Software Engineer - Frappe / ERPNext

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to contribute directly to core platform development across Frappe modules and to lead a team of engineers within the module(s) they own. Spearhead the development of the next-gen fintech landing platform in a fast-growing Series A-funded startup.

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:

Technical:

• Design, build, and maintain modules within the AceN 3.0 platform (Frappe-based).
• Collaborate with the Project Lead and cross-functional module owners (Core, HRMS+Payroll, Helpdesk, Lending) on feature development and integration.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented Python and React.js code.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within owned modules.
• Contribute to architectural decisions within the Frappe ecosystem as the platform scales.

People Management:

• Lead and mentor a small team of software engineers within the module(s) owned.
• Own day-to-day task allocation, code quality standards, and technical guidance for the team.
• Conduct performance reviews and support the career development of direct reports.
• Act as the first point of technical escalation for the team and represent the team's progress/blockers to the Project Lead.

Requirements:

• B. E. / B. Tech in Computer Science or allied streams.
• 3+ years of hands-on development experience with the Frappe framework.
• Strong proficiency in Python (backend development, Frappe app/module development).
• Strong proficiency in React.js (frontend development).
• Ability to debug core framework files.
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.

Good to Have:

• Working understanding of infrastructure and DevOps concepts (deployment pipelines, cloud basics, containerization).
• Familiarity with database performance metrics and query optimisation (MySQL preferred).
• Prior experience mentoring or managing junior engineers.
• Experience working in a Bank/NBFC/Fintech environment.
• Exposure to open-source LMS or ERP-adjacent frameworks.
