This role sits at the intersection of hands- on technical depth and team management, responsible for delivery quality, architecture decisions, and growing a high-performing engineering team.\n\nThe candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions: \n\nTechnical Leadership: \nOwn the technical architecture and design decisions for application development, ensuring alignment with cloud-native, microservices-based best practices.\nDrive adoption and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes/Cloud Run), and IaC practices (Terraform).\nEnsure application security standards are embedded throughout the development lifecycle.\nProvide technical guidance on REST API design, database architecture (SQL/NoSQL), and event-driven/messaging patterns.\n\nDelivery Management: \nOwn end-to-end delivery of application development projects, balancing scope, quality, and timelines.\nRun Agile/Scrum ceremonies and manage delivery tracking via Jira or equivalent tools.\nIdentify and remove delivery blockers, manage cross-team dependencies and stakeholder communication.\n\nPeople Management: \nLead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers.\nOwn hiring, performance management, and career development for direct reports.\nBuild a high-performing engineering culture focused on ownership, quality, and continuous learning.\nAct as the primary escalation point for the team on both technical and delivery matters.\n\nRequirements: \nB. E. / B.
