  • Experience with high-temperature mechanical equipment, molten salt vessels, furnace design, thermal systems, or similar industrial process equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience with custom equipment design and fabrication, including development of practical designs that can be built, inspected, installed, and maintained.
  • Strong mechanical engineering knowledge related to materials, pressure/thermal effects, structural supports, equipment interfaces, and design documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary technical teams in a safety- and quality-driven engineering environment.
  • Experience supporting design reviews, calculations, specifications, drawings, procurement, fabrication, or field implementation activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with molten salts, high-temperature corrosion considerations, refractory/insulation systems, or specialized furnace and vessel design.
  • Experience in DOE, NNSA, nuclear, advanced energy, chemical processing, metallurgy, or highly regulated industrial environments.
  • Professional Engineer registration, advanced mechanical design experience, or experience acting as a technical lead for custom equipment design is preferred.
