We are seeking casual teachers with the subject knowledge and teaching skills to teach both areas.\nAs part of Navitas, a leading global education provider, you will join a broader community of educators committed to high-quality teaching, student support, and successful progression to university.\n We are looking for casual Business teachers with expertise in both Economics and Accounting to join the Business Faculty at Taylors College Sydney. You will be responsible for teaching Business & Economic Principles (BEP), an integrated module that combines Economics and Accounting concepts with practical business applications. Classes are conducted face-to-face for international students at the foundation level as part of the University of Sydney Foundation Program.\nYour responsibilities will include:\nPlanning and delivering engaging lessons that clarify and simplify business concepts.\nAdapting your teaching methods to accommodate students’ academic backgrounds, English language proficiency, and individual learning needs.\nAssessing student work and providing constructive feedback while actively participating in marking moderation.\nMonitoring student engagement and progress, and offering timely academic support as needed.\nUtilizing learning technologies and contributing to the development and evaluation of the curriculum.\nCollaborating with colleagues to uphold academic integrity, maintain consistent teaching standards, and ensure accurate student records.\nEnsuring that teaching and assessment practices align with College policies, the ESOS framework, the National Code, and the standards of the Foundation Program.\n A postgraduate degree, preferably a master’s degree, in Economics, Accounting, Commerce, Business or a closely related discipline.\n\nQualification in teaching (Graduate Diploma etc.)\n\nWorking with children check undertaken prior to appointment\n\nCurrent first aid certificate or willingness and ability to achieve this (for laboratory specific courses)\n\nExpertise in curriculum design and the use of learning technologies\n\nExperience in working with international students and partner organizations\n\nKnowledge/Skills\nMinimum of 2 - 5years teaching experience\n\nExperience of teaching international students\n\nExperience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment\n\nExperience of working with a learning management system A clear understanding of the ESOS act and National Code as well as the Foundation Standards.\n\nKnowledge of how to communicate with second language speakers\n\nKnowledge of how to diagnose students struggling academically\n\nKnowledge of current best practice teaching and learning methodologies\n\nWork independently and collaboratively as an effective team member\n\nAbility to perform under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines\n\nExcellent communication skills and ability to communicate with a wide audience (young people, professional leadership team, peers)\n\nStrong ICT skills\n\nProven ability to make sound judgements\n\nProven ability to follow procedures with attention to detail\n\nAbility to be a self-starter and work on own initiative\n\nAbility to support and motivate others\n\nAbility to operate as part of a small, dynamic team and support the wider work of the college collaboratively\n\nAbility to work flexibly\n\nApproachable and able to work with young adults in a non-judgmental manner\n\nAbility to establish and maintain supportive relationships with staff that facilitate open communication and mutual respect\n\nAbility to distinguish between the need for confidentiality and the need to inform relevant people\n\nWhat we can offer\nWe offer careers across our global operations.\nWe recognise and reward.\nWe understand the importance of showing appreciation.\nWe care for you.
