experienced Senior SQL Server / SSIS Engineer to design, develop, maintain and optimise database solutions and ETL workflows.\n\nThe ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS package development, T-SQL programming, database performance tuning and data migration.\nYou should be comfortable working with existing database systems, troubleshooting complex issues, improving performance and ensuring data integrity, security and availability.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop and maintain SQL Server databases, database objects and logical data models.\nDevelop, deploy and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes and data integration.\nBuild and optimise complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views and triggers.\nDesign and implement data extraction, transformation and loading workflows across multiple systems.\nPerform database migrations, data transformations and validation activities.\nMonitor and troubleshoot SQL Server databases, SSIS packages and SQL Server Agent jobs.\nIdentify and resolve performance bottlenecks through query optimisation, indexing and execution plan analysis.\nHandle database administration activities, including upgrades, backups, recovery and maintenance.\nEnsure database performance, security, availability and data integrity.\nTroubleshoot database locking, blocking and resource utilisation issues.\nCollaborate with developers, QA engineers and other stakeholders to understand database requirements.\nMaintain technical documentation for database structures, ETL workflows and processes.\nProvide production support and proactively identify opportunities to improve database performance and reliability.\n\nWho Are We Looking For?\n6–10 years of experience in SQL Server development and database engineering.\nStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, preferably SQL Server 2016/2017 or above.\nHands-on experience in developing, deploying and maintaining SSIS packages.\nStrong understanding of ETL processes, data integration and data migration.\nAdvanced knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, views and triggers.\nExperience in database performance tuning, query optimisation, indexing and execution plans.\nExperience in SQL Server monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues.\nGood understanding of SQL Server Agent jobs, database backups, recovery and maintenance.\nExperience resolving database locking conflicts, blocking and resource utilisation issues.\nKnowledge of SQL Server system tables and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs).\nExperience with PowerShell scripting and automation is preferred.\nExposure to AWS RDS, Azure SQL or other cloud database environments is an advantage.\nKnowledge of PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases is a plus.\nExperience leading or mentoring junior developers is preferred.\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.\nExcellent analytical, logical, troubleshooting and communication skills.\n\nGood to Have\nExperience with SSRS or SSAS.\nKnowledge of AWS RDS or Azure SQL.\nExperience with PowerShell
