This is a hands-on role for an experienced accountant who wants genuine ownership of the numbers, exposure to a global listed group, and the chance to help scale the finance function as the region grows. You'll work closely with the local Finance Team and the global finance team in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment.\nYour Key Responsibilities Will Include:\nWorking with AP & AR Team closing process and ensure accuracy of financial records including account payable team, accruals, billing team, revenue recognition, payroll journal entries, fixed assets and intangible assets reconciliation. \nOwn the end-to-end month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for AU and NZ entities. \nPrepare statutory financial statements and support all local regulatory, tax, and group reporting requirements. \nMaintain balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliations, review, and timely resolution of variances. \nAct as the primary point of contact for external auditors and support the annual statutory audit end to end. \nEnsure compliance with AASB/IFRS accounting standards, GST, FBT, income tax, and other local regulatory obligations. \nParticipate in SOX procedures and ensure testing results are properly managed and documented \nMaintain and strengthen the internal control framework, identifying and closing control gaps. \nProvide technical accounting guidance on complex or judgemental transactions (e.g. revenue recognition, leases, intercompany). \nSupport budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, including variance analysis and commentary for stakeholders. \nManage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and transfer pricing documentation with the global finance team. \nDrive process improvement, automation, and system enhancements across the finance function. \nPartner with commercial, operations, and global finance teams to support business decisions with sound financial insight. \nMentor and support junior members of the finance team. \nRequirements\nWhat Makes You a Great Fit:\n5+ years' Accounting experience in a commercial or corporate environment. \nStrong technical accounting knowledge under AASB/IFRS, with confidence handling complex or first-time transactions. \nExperience in a multinational, multi-entity, or listed company environment highly regarded. \nAdvanced Excel skills and experience with a modern ERP system (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar). \nA strong control mindset and high attention to detail, balanced with the ability to work at pace. \nConfident communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging across all levels of the business. \nExperience in payments, fintech, retail, or technology industries is a plus, but not essential. \nWhat We Offer:\nThe opportunity to make a genuine impact in a fast-growing, global technology company.\nDirect exposure to a Nasdaq-listed group and international finance team.\nA collaborative, high-trust culture where you own your work.\nCareer growth as the Oceania finance function continues to scale.\nBenefits and Perks:\nAnnual Company Bonus & Salary Review\nQuarterly Team Bonding Event\nMonthly team lunch at Office\nPaid Leave on Birthday*\nPrivate Healthcare Incentives*\nStaff Health/Wellbeing Incentives*\nFlu Vaccinations\nVending Machine full of soft drinks, snacks\nA very friendly young dynamic company\nPool, Table Tennis, PS 5\n(*Eligible after 1st year Work Anniversary)\nLearn More about Nayax\nFounded in 2005, Nayax provides an end-to-end platform for payments, empowers businesses to grow revenue, reduce operational costs, and deliver seamless commerce experiences.
