Join us to make an impact today!\nThe role at a glance:\nNBBJShanghai is seeking a Project Manager who can work independently and collaboratively with a team to manage projects and lead work efforts of others, oversee the production of project deliverables, and interpret client needs. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, and the motivation to engage with the array of NBBJ’s resources in achieving high-performance, sustainable outcomes.\nIn your new role, you will:\nManage team complexity - plans, organizes, and supervises the work of large diverse design teams\nResponsible for accuracy and applicability of documents for entire project(s)\nBuild and maintain day-to-day working relationship with client(s) and consultants\nLead decision making process with fiscal accountability and responsibility\nDevelop and execute a management work plan for the overall project(s)\nAssist with proposal preparation and participate in client presentations/interviews\nResponsible for all correspondence, reports, documentation, and general administration for the overall project(s)\nLead interface with building and health authorities as well as zoning and entitlements\nResponsible for execution of project within the boundaries of the design intent\nApply sound and diversified knowledge of architectural principles for all aspects of the project(s)\nDrive decision making on architectural problems and methods while collaboratively harnessing the expertise of the team\nSolve problems creatively with consultants negotiate and draft/write fee proposals and contracts\nAssist with business development and collaborate with other studios, as needed\nDevelop and leverage existing client relationships for the purpose of winning work.\nAssist Practice Leaders in developing markets or client campaigns and interviews to win new work.\nStrong bi-lingual Mandarin/English verbal fluency is preferred. Fluent English skills are required to provide long term success in a geographically diverse studio environment.\nWhat you will need to succeed:\n15+ years of professional experience in architecture; international work experience is preferred.\nAt least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager.\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture (B.Arch. or M.Arch.) preferred.\nArchitectural licensure is preferred.\nExperience managing complex, multi-phase projects.\nStrong change management skills.\nProven track record of successfully managing complex projects through all phases, from pre-design through construction administration, including contract negotiation, work plan development, and coordination across a variety of project delivery methods.\nExcellent leadership, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships and lead diverse, multidisciplinary design teams.\nWorking knowledge of Revit and BIM project delivery.\nAbility to lead and manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.\nAbility to thrive in a collaborative, design-focused, open work environment.\nWillingness and ability to travel as required by project needs.\nThis role requires the individual to be based in the Shanghai, China.\nWhy choose NBBJ?\nWe believe that all NBBJ employees should love their work.
