We champion an inclusive culture and strive to attract and develop a talented workforce to create and deliver a wide range of content reflecting our world.\n NBCUniversal’s Network Engineering group within the Operations & Technology organization has an opening for a Network Engineer based at our NBC Sports facility in Stamford, CT.\nThe Network Engineer will work within a dedicated team of network engineers responsible for building reliable, scalable network infrastructure for NBCUniversal’s broadcast and media production facilities. The selected candidate will have experience configuring, deploying, and supporting Cisco, Arista, and Palo Alto firewalls using vendor and internal automation and monitoring systems. The selected candidate will provide subject matter expertise on IP-based networking and support critical escalated issues at their location. As a member of a larger team, they will be required to support all locations, including but not limited to Denver, Los Angeles, NYC, and Miami.\n REQUIREMENTS:\n3+ years of experience with installation and configuration of network technology from multiple vendors including Cisco (IOS, NX-OS, XR), Juniper, Palo Alto, and F5.\nHands-on experience implementing firewall policy on Palo Alto (Panorama), F5 via CLI and GUI.\nParticipate in operational on-call rotation for support of 24x7 production on-air network infrastructure.\nAbility to develop and maintain technical documentation and diagrams.\nOccasional travel for project and remote event support.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nGood understanding of both Enterprise and Service Provider networking:OSPF, IS-IS, vPC, port-channeling, 10/40/100G optics, IPSEC, QoS, VLAN, Multicast\nMP-BGP, route-reflection, MPLS (IP and Segment Routing), Traffic Engineering, L3VPN, VRF\n\nAbility to analyze network logging and other data sets to troubleshoot and isolate production and design problems.\nUnderstanding of major broadcast vendors and how their technology is deployed in IP networks to support graphics, transcoding, playout, and master control.\nExperience deploying and supporting hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure) with emphasis on network interconnect and security.\nExperience with network automation and version control tools such as Ansible and Git to deploy networks at scale.\nADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:\nHybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
