This is a critical role supporting major film and TV productions, ensuring all rigging equipment is maintained, prepped, and delivered efficiently. You will be responsible for building the yard from the ground up, managing daily operations, and leading a growing team of rigging technicians in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage the rigging yard’s, including layout, workflows, and processes and their continuous improvement.\nOversee the day-to-day operation of the yard, including the preparation, delivery, and return of rigging equipment.\nLead and manage a team of rigging technicians, assigning tasks, overseeing workloads, and supporting development.\nWork closely with Account Managers and Coordinators to ensure all delivery and collection schedules are met.\nMaintain an accurate stock system, ensuring all equipment is functional, tested, and ready for deployment.\nRespond to last-minute production or crew changes, adjusting plans quickly while keeping communication clear.\nUphold safety and cleanliness standards in the yard and ensure team adherence to all health and safety protocols.\nOperate MHE and assist with hands-on tasks such as loading, unloading and the upkeep of the MHE, servicing, cleaning and minor repairs.\nFoster a strong team culture with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.\n Experience & Skills\nProven experience in yard or rigging operations, ideally in film, TV, or live events.\nDemonstrated ability to lead rigging technicians.\nExcellent organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities.\nStrong working knowledge of rigging and scaffold equipment; truss and motor experience is a plus.\nRelevant MHE license preferred; basic first aid, and fire marshal training beneficial.\nHigh level of professionalism, clear communication skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships.\nFlexible and dependable - able to work early starts, occasional weekends, and respond to time-sensitive needs.\nBasic computer skills required; must be comfortable learning internal systems.\nMust be an affective trouble shooter, communicator, and problem solver.\nExceptional customer service skills with a strong sense of urgency.\n As part of our selection process, external candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview with an NBCUniversal employee at one of our locations prior to a hiring decision.
