Group Financial Controller is a senior Finance leader responsible for the financial integrity, control and governance of NCC Group plc, leading Group Finance & Control, Tax, Treasury and Transactional Finance Services.\nThe role delivers high-quality internal and external reporting, maintains a robust control environment, oversees statutory, tax, treasury and liquidity requirements, and drives effective, continuously improving transactional finance services, including those delivered from Manila.\nWorking closely with the CFO, senior management, Finance Business Partnering teams, the Audit Committee and external advisers, the role will simplify, standardise and automate finance processes and the operating model, including ongoing optimisation of Workday Finance.\nKey Responsibilities\nGroup Finance, Reporting & Control\nOwn the Group reporting calendar and lead monthly, half-year and full-year reporting and consolidation to agreed deadlines.\nLead preparation of the consolidated financial statements and financial sections of the Annual Report.\nEnsure the integrity of financial records, consolidation and the balance sheet.\nLead technical accounting and ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable reporting requirements.\nMaintain Group accounting policies, the Group Finance Manual and an effective financial control framework.\nAdvise the CFO and Audit Committee on significant accounting matters, judgements and estimates.\nOversee timely statutory accounts and regulatory financial reporting.\nExternal Audit, Financial Governance & Risk\nLead the external auditor relationship and delivery of interim and year-end audits, coordinating requirements and resolving issues promptly.\nSupport the CFO and Audit Committee on reporting, accounting judgements, audit and control matters.\nOwn and continuously improve the Group financial control framework with Risk & Assurance and Finance leadership, addressing control and compliance weaknesses.\nEnsure readiness for and ongoing compliance with applicable UK Corporate Governance Code requirements, including Provision 29.\nTax\nLead Group Tax, overseeing governance, compliance, reporting and risk management across corporation tax, VAT and other relevant obligations.\nMaintain effective governance over transfer pricing and intercompany arrangements.\nManage external tax advisers and tax authority relationships.\nProvide tax support for financing, restructuring and other significant corporate activity where applicable.\nTreasury\nLead Group Treasury, including cash, liquidity, banking and treasury risk management.\nMaintain robust cash forecasting, liquidity oversight and working capital visibility, ensuring appropriate funding headroom.\n Oversee banking relationships, accounts, payment controls and treasury administration.\nManage foreign exchange, interest rate and other financial risks.\nSupport the CFO on financing, refinancing and capital structure matters.\n Ensure treasury activity operates within Group policies, controls and delegated authorities.\nTransactional Finance Services\nLead delivery and continuous improvement of NCC Group’s transactional finance operations in Manila.\nOversee Accounts Payable, Cash & Banking, Credit Control, Billing/Invoicing and related activities within the agreed operating model.\nMaintain effective controls, service standards and performance measures.\n Strengthen working capital disciplines, including cash collection and aged debt management.\nSimplify, standardise and automate transactional processes.\nFinance Transformation & Systems\nDrive continuous improvement, simplification and standardisation across Group Finance, Tax, Treasury and Transactional Finance Services.\n Partner with Finance Systems and Technology teams to maximise Workday Financials and associated systems, reducing manual activity and improving efficiency, control and data quality.\nPromote automation and effective use of data to strengthen reporting and embed improvements into business-as-usual Finance processes.\n Leadership & Business Partnership\nLead, develop and motivate high-performing teams, setting clear accountability, objectives and standards.\nBuild capability and succession across key Finance roles.\nDevelop strong relationships across Group, divisional and regional Finance teams and the wider business.\nAct as a trusted adviser to the CFO and senior management on reporting, control, tax, treasury and related financial matters.\nSupport significant corporate projects, including transactions, restructuring, separation, integration and financing.\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\nThe successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) and will demonstrate:\nStrong Group financial control experience in a PLC, listed, international or comparably complex organisation.\nExcellent technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS, Group consolidation, external and statutory reporting, and external audit.\nExperience working with senior management, external auditors and, ideally, Audit Committees.\nProven leadership and development of high-performing Finance teams.\nGood understanding of corporate tax, treasury, cash management and transactional finance operations.\nExperience of finance transformation, process improvement and ERP-enabled finance environments.\nDesirable experience includes:\nUK-listed company experience.\nInternational, multi-entity or multi-currency reporting.\nWorkday Financials
