This position performs a key function within the business: you will take ownership of core legal processes and act as a trusted point of contact for routine legal, contractual and policy-related matters. You will support the full breadth of the Group Legal team’s work, including contract management, policy maintenance, legal research and legal operations, with appropriate guidance and supervision from the solicitors in the team where required.\n\nAs a Paralegal in the Group Legal team, you will support the business across a wide range of legal, governance and operational activities, taking ownership of process-driven workstreams and acting as a trusted point of contact for routine legal matters under appropriate supervision from senior team members.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSummary\nProactively managing the team’s inboxes and monitoring the associated ticketing system, ensuring effective triage, prioritisation and timely resolution of queries.\nMaintaining and continually improving the team’s SharePoint site, precedents database and legal know-how resources.\nReviewing, negotiating (within agreed parameters) and processing NDAs and other standard-form, low-risk agreements.\nReviewing and coordinating amendments to standard terms and conditions, identifying deviations and escalating where appropriate.\nSupporting contract lifecycle management processes, including document control, execution and record-keeping.\nAssisting with the drafting, review and ongoing maintenance of internal policies, including coordinating updates in response to regulatory or business change.\nConducting legal and regulatory research and producing clear, commercially focused summaries and briefing notes for the wider team.\nActing as a key contact for the business on routine queries relating to contracting processes, documentation and internal policies.\n\nSupporting governance activities and the company secretarial function, including coordinating approvals, filings and execution of documents.\nSupporting legal compliance processes, including tracking obligations and supporting internal reporting requirements.\nSupporting the management of external law firm relationships and spend, including tracking budgets, invoices and engagements.\nContributing to legal operations initiatives, including process improvements, workflow optimisation and reporting.\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\n\nWhat we are looking for:\nPrevious experience working as a paralegal in a law firm, in house legal team or similar role\nCreating and maintaining good client relations, both internal and external\nEnsuring meticulous attention to detail\nKnowledge or experience of contractual terms\nManaging efficient administration.\nWorking effectively with colleagues from different business areas and different jurisdictions.\n\nBehaviour:\n\nEnjoys working in an established legal team of friendly, collaborative lawyers and legal professionals across multiple jurisdictions;\nMotivated to take ownership of core legal processes and act as a trusted point of contact for routine legal and policy-related queries;\nInterested in working with legal and business colleagues across the globe in a dynamic, in-house environment;\nNaturally curious and enjoy conducting legal and regulatory research and contributing to policy development and updates;\nComfortable working in a fast-paced business in a thriving industry and continuously improving processes and ways of working;\nValue flexible working - the team currently works on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in the office.\n\nWays of working\nFocusing on Clients and Customers.\nWorking as One NCC.\nAlways Learning.\nBeing Inclusive and Respectful.\nDelivering Brilliantly.\n\nOur company\n\nAt NCC Group, our mission is to create a more secure digital future.
