Our 12 week in-person opportunity offers hands-on experience with modern web technologies in our collaborative, agile environment, where you'll contribute to solutions that unite people, AI, and data.\nIf you're passionate about technology and ready to help transform mortgage lending through intelligent innovation, nCino's Mortgage team is the perfect place to start your career.\nObjectives: \nLearn and participate in the full software development process within the mortgage lending domain \nSupport the product refinement process including ticket creation and analysis for development work \nEngage in brainstorming sessions to propose innovative ideas and solutions for mortgage workflows \nParticipate in proof-of-concept implementations and prototypes to gather feedback and make informed decisions \nFollow architectural decisions made by the team and understand the reasoning behind mortgage-specific solutions \n\nWhat you'll gain: \nExperience with our modern tech stack featuring Ruby on Rails backend and Vue.js frontend development \nUnderstanding of mortgage lending processes, regulations, and customer journey optimization \nHands-on experience with CI/CD processes including automated testing and deployment pipelines \nOne-on-one mentoring from experienced full-stack engineers specializing in financial services \nBusiness acumen in mortgage lending and fintech, understanding both technical and regulatory aspects \nExposure to cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, QA, and Go-live support teams \nExposure to AI tools and techniques used in software development, including code generation, testing, debugging, and optimization processes \n\nTechnical Requirements: \nProgramming Languages: Academic knowledge of at least one modern programming language (Ruby, Python, Java, or JavaScript preferred) \nWeb Development: Foundational understanding of web application development concepts through coursework or personal projects \nFrontend Technologies: Basic exposure to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with bonus points for modern frameworks (Vue.js, React, Angular) \nDevelopment Tools: Familiarity with code versioning tools, particularly Git (academic or personal project experience acceptable) \nSoftware Design: Understanding of software engineering best practices including coding standards and testing through coursework \nDatabase Concepts: Academic exposure to SQL or database management concepts is a plus \nCI/CD Awareness: Classroom knowledge or self-study of continuous integration/deployment concepts preferred but not required \nDevelopment Practices: Basic understanding of agile software development methodologies through coursework or personal learning \n\nAdditional Requirements: \nCurrently pursuing or recent graduate of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, related field or recent graduate of a coding bootcamp.\nThis position requires current work authorization in the United States that will not require employer sponsorship now or in the future.
