If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, join us and be part of the revolution.\nJob description:\nLocation: 42 Cours Pierre Vasseur, 91120 - Palaiseau (France)\nStart date: June 2026\nWe are looking for an Electronic System Engineer to ensure the development of our high-speed optical links and their integration into electro-optical systems.\nIf you are curious about the dynamics of a Deeptech startup dealing with scientific innovation, solving challenging technical problems and doing impactful work, consider joining the team!\nResponsibilities\nSystem Architecture & Design\nDesign RF system architectures for high-speed optical links, ensuring signal integrity and performance optimization.\nDefine and specify electrical interfaces between optical components (lasers, detectors) and electronic subsystems.\nDevelop system-level specifications that bridge component-level performance with integrated link requirements.\nDesign and optimize laser driver circuits and photodiode readout electronics for high-performance optical links.\n\nTesting & Validation\nConduct system-level characterization and performance verification against specifications\nParticipate in the development and validation of models for architecture-level simulations.\nAnalyze test results to identify performance bottlenecks and drive design improvements\n\nCross-functional Collaboration\nWork closely with photonics engineers to translate optical component specifications into system-level electrical requirements\nCollaborate with product team to ensure technical feasibility and manufacturability of designs\nSupport integration activities and provide technical expertise during product development phases\nRequirements\nQualifications\nEducation: Engineer, Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field\n Experience: We are looking for a Senior profile (5-10 years of experience) with a strong industrial mindset, and relevant experience in electronic system design. Preferably in optical communications or high-speed interconnect systems or related field. While a PhD is valued, it is not mandatory if compensated by significant industrial R&D experience.\nTechnical Skills\nRF Systems Engineering: Deep understanding of high-frequency circuit design and modelling, signal integrity, and electromagnetic compatibility\nMicroelectronics: Proficiency in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, including amplifiers, filters, and high-speed interface\nLaser Drivers & Photodiode Readout: Hands-on experience designing driver circuits for laser diodes and transimpedance amplifiers for photodetectors\nSystem Integration: Ability to define and validate electrical interfaces between subsystems in complex integrated systems\nTesting & Measurement: Experience with high-speed oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and optical test equipment\nKnowledge of Python coding language is a plus.\nSoft Skills:\nStrong problem-solving and analytical abilities.\nExcellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nEffective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.\nAbility to work independently and participate in multiple projects simultaneously.\nFlexibility, polyvalency and open-mindedness.\nEnglish professional proficiency.\nFrench is a plus.\nYou don’t check all the boxes?
