A key requirement is to have 2-4 years’ mechanical design experience with a keen interest in the design of electro/mechanical systems operating under S/W control.\nSupport new and existing media handling products from a mechanical perspective\nEvaluate different technologies and provide recommendations with backup analysis\nGain experience in the Design of Mechanisms, working with tooling suppliers and parts manufacture\nDelivering cost effective designs to specification and engineering standards\nSupplier engagement and change management\nCollaborate with Engineers from different disciplines\nHold design reviews, stress analysis, assembly tolerances, testing and problem correction CLCA\nRelease work products using the approved system with all relevant documentation required to implement your design change\nQualifications\nA Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Hons 2:1 or better preferred).\nWorking understanding of Mechanical design principles and technologies.\nMinimum of 3 years post-graduate related experience\nTechnology awareness in the areas of:\n1) High speed, document feeding, transportation, sorting & stacking mechanisms.\n2) Autonomous, fault tolerant systems under the impact of climatic variations.\n3) Simulation/ FEA\nClearly understand documentation and the ability to work solely on problems as well as within a team environment\nStrives to work to and set high work standards and be a good communicator\nWorking CAD experience (ProE/Creo or Solidworks)\nAn understanding of mechanical drive systems\nUnderstanding of plastic moulding, sheet metal fabrication design, parts manufacture and tooling.\nDrawing, dimensioning & tolerancing experience\nStress and Tolerance analysis experience\nMechanism design experience is an advantage\nExperience with assemblies containing PCBs/harnesses is an advantage.\nExperience with Rapid prototyping technologies\nWilling to travel, globally e.g. customer sites for support or analysis\nAs an NCR Atleos employee, we provide you with several core benefits as standard, as well as the opportunity to select additional discounted voluntary benefits.
