You will be responsible for leading a globally distributed team of network engineers, driving operational excellence, and providing technical leadership across Cisco ACI, Nexus infrastructure, data center interconnects, routing, and enterprise network modernization initiatives.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong people leadership skills with deep technical expertise and can confidently guide architectural decisions, review production configurations, resolve critical incidents, and ensure engineering teams are delivering secure, scalable, and highly available network solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical Leadership & Player-Coach Responsibilities\nServe as the senior technical leader and escalation point for complex networking issues across the enterprise.\nMaintain a hands-on role in the design, review, implementation, and support of enterprise network solutions.\nParticipate directly in architecture reviews, configuration validation, change management activities, and major production deployments.\nLead troubleshooting efforts and root-cause analysis for high-impact incidents affecting critical business services.\nEnsure engineering teams are following established standards, operational procedures, and best practices.\nPartner with architects and infrastructure teams to align network strategy with business objectives.\nMentor engineers through technical challenges and support their professional growth and development.\nPeople Leadership & Global Team Management\nLead and manage a globally distributed team of approximately six network engineers across multiple regions and time zones.\nProvide day-to-day coaching, technical guidance, performance feedback, and career development support.\nFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.\nBalance operational support requirements with strategic infrastructure initiatives.\nEstablish and maintain engineering documentation, standards, processes, and operational runbooks.\nSupport workforce planning, skills development, and team growth initiatives.\nData Center & Core Network Engineering\nLead the design, implementation, and operation of Cisco ACI-based data center environments.\nManage and optimize Cisco APIC policies, tenants, endpoint groups (EPGs), contracts, and lifecycle upgrades.\nOversee Cisco Nexus switching infrastructure supporting data center and enterprise networking environments.\nDesign and support data center interconnect (DCI) solutions that ensure resiliency, performance, and business continuity.\nProvide technical leadership for core routing, switching, and network transport services.\nEnsure network designs support scalability, high availability, and future growth requirements.\nRouting & Edge Connectivity\nOwn enterprise routing standards and strategy leveraging BGP and OSPF.\nLead the design and operation of edge routing environments supporting enterprise, cloud, and external connectivity.\nSupport Nexus-based routing and switching platforms across data center and edge environments.\nDrive network resiliency initiatives and optimization efforts to improve service availability and performance.\nInfrastructure Modernization & Operational Excellence\nLead initiatives focused on network modernization, resiliency, automation, and operational efficiency.\nPartner with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams on hybrid networking projects and connectivity solutions.\nEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to network architecture and operational processes.\nDrive continuous improvements in monitoring, observability, incident response, and service reliability.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking, data center infrastructure, or network engineering.\n2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing network engineering teams.\nStrong hands-on expertise with:Cisco ACI\nCisco Nexus (NX-OS)\nBGP and OSPF routing\nData center networking and switching\nData Center Interconnect (DCI) architectures\nEnterprise routing and switching platforms\n\nProven ability to balance technical execution with people leadership responsibilities.\nExperience working directly with production configurations, change management processes, and troubleshooting complex network environments.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting large-scale, global, or mission-critical network environments.\nPrevious experience serving as a technical lead, senior engineer, or escalation resource.\nExperience with hybrid cloud networking and cloud connectivity architectures.\nKnowledge of network automation, infrastructure as code, and network observability platforms.\nExperience leading infrastructure modernization and resiliency initiatives.\nCisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Data Center, Enterprise Infrastructure, or equivalent
