This role requires expertise in full-stack application development, cloud-native technologies, data analytics, and AI-assisted software engineering practices.\n\nKey Areas of Responsibility:\n\nLead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable full-stack applications supporting the Insight and SWIC platforms.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Quality Engineering, Architecture, and Operations, to define requirements and deliver business solutions.\nMentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, promoting engineering excellence, and fostering team growth.\nContribute to architectural discussions, technology evaluations, and technical decisions, ensuring alignment with product and organizational strategy.\nParticipate and contribute to an effective software development lifecycle using Agile and Scrum methodologies.\nImplement and promote software engineering best practices, including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), automated testing, code quality, security, and observability.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring optimal application performance, reliability, scalability, and availability.\nLeverage AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and other intelligent engineering capabilities to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity.\nExplore, evaluate, and implement AI-driven capabilities, intelligent automation, and advanced analytics solutions across the Insight and SWIC platforms.\nDocument technical designs, architecture decisions, implementation approaches, operational procedures, and system specifications clearly and concisely.\nSupport internal and external customers by investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving application and production issues.\nContribute to cloud deployments and operational excellence initiatives utilizing Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Apigee.\n\nJob Qualifications:\n\nExperience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and IAM.\nExperience developing and supporting Big Data analytics and reporting applications.\nExperience building highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud-native applications.\nKnowledge of Looker and LookML for data modelling, dashboard development, and analytics solutions.\nExperience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Cloud builds, Terraform, & Helm.\nExperience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nExperience utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, or similar technologies.\nExperience implementing automated testing frameworks and behaviors-driven development practices.\nExperience working in analytics, retail technology, or enterprise software domains.\n\nThis job description outlines the primary duties and responsibilities of the role and is not intended to be exhaustive.
