The scope of work is broad and includes software development, CLI tooling, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code development, and root cause analysis of complex engineering issues.\nThis role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, working across different layers of the stack, and building systems that are robust, scalable, and impactful.\nPosition Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility\nDesign, build, test, operate, and continuously improve platform engineering solutions.\nOwn technical problems end-to-end, collaborating with stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.\nContribute to product and platform roadmaps with consideration for performance, reliability, observability, operability, and testability.\nParticipate in root cause analysis, incident investigation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.\nDiagnose and resolve issues across internal systems and downstream dependencies, partnering with other teams when necessary.\nFollow established engineering standards, contribute to technical discussions, and provide constructive feedback to improve processes and tooling.\nDemonstrate strong teamwork, accountability, and a growth mindset through continuous learning and collaboration.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n3+ years of professional software engineering experience.\nExperience developing software in Linux or macOS environments.\nProficiency in at least one modern programming language, preferably Golang.\nStrong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.\nFamiliarity with distributed systems concepts and modern software architectures.\nExperience using Git-based source control workflows (GitHub, GitLab, or similar).\nExposure to containerized application development using Docker and Kubernetes.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nStrong desire to learn and contribute across a broad technical landscape.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional experience developing applications or tooling in Golang.\nExperience building and updating GraphQL types, queries, and mutations for backend Golang APIs.\nExperience designing, operating, or supporting distributed systems with consideration for scalability, performance, availability, and observability.\nExperience with platform engineering practices and tools, including GitOps, CI/CD, OCI artifacts, test infrastructure, or build systems.\nExperience working with Kubernetes clusters and associated ecosystem components.\nFamiliarity with infrastructure-as-code and developer productivity tooling.\nExperience contributing to open-source projects.\nStand-out Qualifications\nProfessional experience administering or developing with Bazel or other large-scale build systems.\nExperience with AI application development using modern LLM platforms, including agentic workflows, skills/tool definitions, prompt engineering, model evaluation, or integration with commercial and open-source AI models.\nExperience developing CLI tools and developer workflows.\nExperience creating or maintaining Kubernetes Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) and custom controllers/operators.\nExperience troubleshooting complex build, deployment, or infrastructure-related issues across large distributed systems.\nExperience with developer platforms or internal engineering productivity initiatives.\nGeneral knowledge, skills and abilities\nWorking knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native technologies.\nUnderstanding of modern software development methodologies, including Agile and iterative development practices.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to investigate complex technical issues.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nAbility to estimate work, manage priorities, and deliver commitments within a team environment.\nUnderstanding of infrastructure and systems concepts, including networking, compute, storage, security, containers, and platform operations.\nPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration.\nOffers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job\nEEO Statement\nIntegrated into our shared values is NCR Voyix’s commitment to equal employment opportunity.
