Explore our opportunities and join a team that is redefining what’s possible.\n Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance applications, services, APIs, and libraries primarily using Rust.\nDeliver robust, scalable, and secure software solutions that operate across distributed and edge computing environments.\nCollaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineers to define technical solutions and successfully deliver sprint outcomes.\nDevelop integrations with external devices and systems, implementing communication protocols and data exchange interfaces.\nTroubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex production issues, continuously improving system reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.\nContribute to the design and support of Linux-based platforms that host and operate software solutions.\nBuild, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable, automated software testing, deployment, and release management.\nSupport containerised application deployments using technologies such as Docker.\nImplement and promote engineering best practices including code reviews, automated testing, secure software development, and infrastructure-as-code.\nManage software updates, patches, and dependency upgrades to ensure platform stability and security.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for technology, tooling, and process improvements.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, ensuring solutions, processes, and learnings are captured and shared across the engineering team.\nParticipate in operational support activities and contribute to ongoing platform reliability, observability, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n 5+ years' experience in software engineering roles.\nStrong commercial development experience with Rust.\nExperience building APIs, backend services, and distributed applications.\nStrong understanding of software design principles, testing practices, and system architecture.\nExperience working with Linux environments.\nExperience with Git-based development workflows and modern CI/CD practices.\nExperience with container technologies such as Docker.\nFamiliarity with messaging and integration technologies.\nKnowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and modern communication protocols.\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills.\nExperience working in Agile development teams.\n Why join us:\nNCS Australia is where you can feel at home, nurturing your talents and skills as we make tomorrow together, one day at a time.
