Explore our opportunities and join a team that is redefining what’s possible.\n Design, develop, test, and maintain applications, services, APIs, and libraries primarily using Rust.\nCollaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software aligned with sprint objectives and business outcomes.\nBuild and maintain integrations with external systems, devices, and communication protocols.\nDevelop automated testing and contribute to improving software quality, reliability, and maintainability.\nTroubleshoot and resolve software and platform issues across development, test, and production environments.\nSupport Linux-based platforms and assist with software deployment, configuration, and maintenance activities.\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to improve development efficiency and reliability.\nAssist with performance optimisation activities, including improving application responsiveness, resource utilisation, and system scalability.\nParticipate in code reviews and adopt software engineering best practices, including secure development and Agile methodologies.\nWork with containerisation technologies such as Docker to support application deployment and operations.\nSupport software patching, upgrades, and dependency management to ensure platform stability and security.\nCreate and maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across the engineering team.\n Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.\nCommercial experience developing software in Rust.\nExperience building APIs, backend services, and distributed applications.\nExperience working with Linux operating systems and open-source technologies.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD tools and automation practices.\nExperience with Git-based source control workflows.\nKnowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker.\nUnderstanding of software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting techniques.\nFamiliarity with REST APIs, JSON, and modern software integration patterns.\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nExperience working within Agile development teams.\n Why join us:\nNCS Australia is where you can feel at home, nurturing your talents and skills as we make tomorrow together, one day at a time.
