The role requires the practitioner to also be a trusted adviser to our clients in conceptualising advanced analytics solutions, and helping to enable their journey in data science and AI.\nTechnical Delivery\nWork with senior data scientists and stakeholders to translate customer pain-points into problem statements, propose suitable ML approaches, and engagingly present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nDevelop and manage entire end-to-end ML lifecycle: scoping of data inputs, data cleaning and pre-processing, feature engineering, training and optimising models, and deploying models to production.\nPresent statistically sound model validations to justify model selection and performance.\nWrite clean, maintainable Python code and construct end-to-end pipelines for model training and inference; participate in code reviews.\nDesign and develop sophisticated visualisations, reports and dashboards to profile and explain actionable insights to business users.\nContribute to data architecture engineering decisions to support ML pipeline building.\nWork closely with project manager and technical leads to provide regular status reporting, and support them to refine issues/problem statements and propose/evaluate relevant data science solutions.\nClient & Stakeholder Engagement\nSupport client workshops and daily stakeholder interactions: requirements discovery, solution presentations, sprint demos and retrospectives.\nTranslate ambiguous client requirements into well-defined technical user stories and acceptance criteria.\nCommunicate technical trade-offs and design decisions in clear, non-jargon language appropriate for business stakeholders.\nManage client expectations proactively; surface risks early and propose mitigations.\n Experience & Education\n2-4 years of hands-on ML and data science solution development experience.\nDegree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent quantitative discipline.\nProven delivery of complex end-to-end AI/ML projects.\nStrong Python programming: Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow; comfortable writing modular, testable code.\nSolid understanding of ML fundamentals: feature engineering, supervised and unsupervised modelling techniques, model evaluation, bias-variance trade-off, hyperparameter optimisation.\nExperience with Git, CI/CD, containerisation (Docker) and MLOps processes.\nWorking knowledge of MLflow or equivalent for experiment tracking and model management.\nPossess good communications skills to understand customers' core business objectives and present technical solutions in a clear, understandable way.\nGood critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.\nEnthusiasm for building and implementing machine learning solutions in industry production settings.\n(Good to have) Generative AI solution experience: building GenAI-based chatbots and applications, RAG systems, working with LLM APIs, developing and evaluating quality prompt templates, working with vector databases and embedding models for semantic search and retrieval (e.g. Milvus, pgvector).\n(Good to have) Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS Sagemaker or Azure ML.\nCandidates with more relevant experience will be considered for the role of Senior Data Scientist.\n Why Join NCS\nLead high-impact AI management consulting programs for major enterprises and public sector clients.\n\nShape enterprise strategies and governance frameworks that drive real transformation.\n\nWork with a talented, multidisciplinary team in a collaborative environment.\n\nCompetitive compensation and strong professional development support.\n\nWe are driven by our AEIOU beliefs-Adventure, Excellence, Integrity, Ownership, and Unity-and we seek individuals who embody these values in both their professional and personal lives.
