In this role, you will design, develop, configure, and support enterprise solutions built on Newgen platforms including OmniDocs, OmniFlow/iBPS, NewgenONE, and Record Management System (RMS).\nYou will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable workflow and document management solutions for enterprise and public sector clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer who combines strong Newgen platform expertise with solid Java development skills and a collaborative mindset.\nWhat will you do:\nAnalyse business, functional, and technical requirements and translate them into solution designs and application components on the Newgen platform\n\nDesign, develop, configure, and maintain applications using OmniDocs, OmniFlow/iBPS, NewgenONE, and/or RMS\n\nConfigure and maintain workflows, forms, templates, document classes, business rules, and related components\n\nDevelop supporting application logic and integrations using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, XML, and SQL\n\nParticipate in technical design discussions, peer code reviews, proof of concepts (POCs), and solution walkthroughs\n\nPerform unit testing and support integration testing, system testing, UAT, and production deployment activities\n\nInvestigate and resolve defects, reported incidents, and application issues to ensure stable production performance\n\nBuild and support integrations with third-party and enterprise systems using REST APIs, SOAP web services, and related integration mechanisms\n\nPrepare and maintain technical specifications, configuration documents, test artefacts, deployment procedures, and support documentation\n\nCollaborate closely with Business Analysts, technical leads, testers, infrastructure teams, and client stakeholders to ensure quality delivery\n\nSupport platform upgrades, migration activities, compatibility testing, and post-upgrade optimization where required\n\nEnsure all deliverables comply with coding standards, security requirements, architecture guidelines, and quality processes\n\nProvide timely status updates, highlight risks early, and contribute to project reporting and team planning\n\nAn ideal candidate would possess:\nEssential Experience\nAt least 2 years of hands-on experience in Newgen application development, configuration, or support\n\nPractical experience in one or more of the following Newgen products:\n\nOmniDocs\n\nOmniFlow/iBPS\n\nNewgenONE\n\nRecord Management System (RMS)\n\nGood understanding of document management, workflow automation, business process management, enterprise content management, and case management concepts\n\nHands-on development experience in:\n\nJava, J2EE, Spring Boot\n\nJavaScript, jQuery\n\nHTML5, CSS, XML, AJAX\n\nGood knowledge of databases and query development, specially SQL and Oracle (PostgreSQL is an advantage)\n\nExperience in system integration using REST APIs and SOAP Web Services with JSON/XML-based interfaces\n\nFamiliarity with development and collaboration tools such as Eclipse, Git/GitHub, SVN, Jira, Postman, SoapUI\n\nExperience across the software development lifecycle, including design, build, test, deployment, maintenance, and support\n\nGood working knowledge of application security, error handling, and basic performance tuning\n\nGood-to-Have Experience\nExperience with application server and middleware configuration, including Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss\n\nKnowledge of server deployment, environment setup, configuration troubleshooting, and log analysis\n\nExperience with Linux/Unix environments\n\nFamiliarity with PowerShell scripting and/or Python scripting\n\nAwareness of CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, and pipeline-based deployment processes\n\nExperience with Newgen version upgrades, migration planning, regression support, and compatibility validation\n\nExposure to third-party integrations such as SingPass, Corppass, or core banking/enterprise systems\n\nProfessional Certifications\nNewgen Technical Certification on ECM and BPM\n\nRelevant certifications in Java, Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure), Kubernetes, or DevOps are advantageous\n\n We are driven by our AEIOU beliefs-Adventure, Excellence, Integrity, Ownership, and Unity -and we seek individuals who embody these values in both their professional and personal lives.
