The role will provide day-to-day technical administration and operational support for SAP systems including SAP ECC, BW, Enterprise Portal (EP), GRC, and Solution Manager.\nThe successful candidate will work across SAP HANA, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), and SAP ASE databases, with operating environments consisting of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) and Microsoft Windows Server.\nThe role is suitable for someone who has a good foundation in SAP Basis administration and is looking to develop deeper expertise in SAP system operations, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, upgrades, and system lifecycle activities.\nKey Responsibilities\nSAP Basis Administration\nPerform day-to-day administration and monitoring of SAP systems including:SAP ECC\nSAP BW\nSAP Enterprise Portal (EP)\nSAP GRC\nSAP Solution Manager\n\nMonitor SAP system availability, work processes, system logs, dumps, locks, and overall system health.\nPerform SAP start/stop activities and troubleshoot system availability issues.\nMonitor background jobs and investigate failed or long-running jobs.\nManage SAP users, roles, authorizations, and basic security-related activities in coordination with the appropriate teams.\nPerform routine SAP Basis housekeeping and system health checks.\nMonitor SAP system performance and escalate issues where required.\nAssist with SAP kernel upgrades, Support Package updates, patches, and related maintenance activities.\nSupport SAP Notes implementation and technical remediation activities under senior administrator guidance.\nAssist with SAP system refreshes, client administration, and system copies.\nSupport SAP transport management across development, test, and production environments.\nMonitor and troubleshoot RFC connections, IDocs, interfaces, and other basic SAP connectivity issues.\nDatabase Administration & Support\nProvide basic administration and monitoring support for:SAP HANA\n Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)\nSAP ASE\n\nMonitor database availability, space utilization, backups, alerts, and basic performance indicators.\nAssist with database backup and recovery activities.\nPerform database housekeeping and capacity monitoring.\nWork with database administrators and application teams to troubleshoot database-related SAP issues.\nMonitor SAP HANA services and assist with basic HANA administration tasks.\nAssist with database patching and maintenance activities.\nOperating System Administration\nProvide basic operating system support for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) and Microsoft Windows Server environments.\nMonitor CPU, memory, disk space, processes, filesystems, and system availability.\nPerform basic troubleshooting of OS-related issues affecting SAP systems.\nManage SAP-related services and processes.\nPerform filesystem housekeeping and log management.\nCoordinate with infrastructure teams for OS patching, server maintenance, and capacity issues.\nSAP Solution Manager\nMonitor SAP systems through SAP Solution Manager.\nAssist with system monitoring, technical monitoring, and alert management.\nSupport basic SAP Solution Manager administration and housekeeping.\nAssist with incident investigation and system health reporting.\nIncident, Change & Operational Support\nRespond to SAP Basis incidents and service requests within agreed SLA requirements.\nPerform initial investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of SAP technical issues.\nEscalate complex issues to senior Basis administrators, infrastructure, database, or SAP application teams.\nParticipate in planned maintenance, patching, upgrades, and system changes.\nMaintain accurate technical documentation and operational procedures.\nParticipate in on-call or after-hours support where required.\nFollow ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.\nRequired Skills & Experience\nApproximately 2 years of experience in SAP Basis administration/support.\nHands-on exposure to SAP Basis administration in an enterprise environment.\nExperience supporting one or more of the following SAP systems:SAP ECC\nSAP BW\nSAP Enterprise Portal\nSAP GRC\nSAP Solution Manager\n\nBasic knowledge of SAP system architecture and SAP NetWeaver administration.\nWorking knowledge of SAP transport management, background jobs, RFCs, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.\nBasic experience with SAP HANA administration and monitoring.\nExposure to Microsoft SQL Server and/or SAP ASE databases.\nBasic knowledge of SUSE Linux administration.\nBasic knowledge of Windows Server administration.\nFamiliarity with SAP users, roles, authorizations, and security concepts.\nGood troubleshooting and analytical skills.\nAbility to work effectively with application, database, infrastructure, and security teams.\nGood communication and documentation skills.\n Education\nRelevant SAP Basis certification or training is an advantage.\nKey Competencies\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nGood understanding of SAP technical architecture.\nAbility to follow documented procedures and operational
