NCS is a subsidiary of the Singtel Group.\n As a Syscon Operation, works in a 24/7 Network Operations Centre (NOC) to monitor, maintain, and support mission-critical network and system operations. The role is responsible for fault detection and resolution, configuration changes, system administration, performance tracking, and enforcing network security. It includes coordination with maintenance agencies, handling user queries, preparing reports, supporting major events, and managing end-user equipment. The operator provides Level 1 application support and escalates issues when necessary. This role requires strong teamwork, the ability to perform rotating shift work, and resilience under pressure, with experience in network, system, security, or data centre operations being an advantage.\nWhat will you do?\nFault Management\nMonitor and respond to network fault alarms\nIdentify and troubleshoot network failures\nEscalate unresolved issues to the Maintenance Agency (MA)\nLiaise with MA for fault isolation and rectification\nProvide interim updates to users\nDocument faults and resolution actions\nPerform daily system health checks\nConduct preventive maintenance on sub-systems and equipment\nConfiguration Management\nPerform network reconfiguration for operational changes\nConfigure new services that do not require hardware changes\nAdministration & User Communication\nHandle calls from end-users for fault reporting and consultation\nInform users about outages, maintenance, testing, and password changes\nCoordinate access with building owners\nProvide monthly system status updates and ad-hoc reports\nPerformance Management\nCollect, compile, and analyse network performance statistics\nTrack sub-system performance and MA’s response/turnaround times\nSecurity Management\nMonitor systems for unauthorised access and investigate incidents\nDesensitise system terminal equipment\nReload terminal software\nAssist in tracking lost user terminals\n\nGeneral Support\nAssist with log retrieval\nSupport onsite monitoring during major events\nHelp report and terminate services for missing end-user terminals\n\nUser Equipment (UE) Management\nVerify failures in reported equipment\nEnsure data removal and proper software/content management\nUpdate or restore firmware and software\nPerform remote wipe on faulty equipment\nConsolidate and update repaired equipment before returning to users\n\nApplication Management\nProvide Level 1 software and application troubleshooting\nEscalate issues to application vendors for Level 2 support\nGeneral\nRequired to perform 12 hours rotating shift work in teams, for 7 days a week and 24 hours a day, inclusive of Sundays and Public Holidays.
